Cool RQA gig. Literally!

So glad I hooked up with this company. Not every assignment is worth my while, but more times than not they wind up being both easy and lucrative.

Communications, while response time suffered during the death chip extravaganza, are always first rate.

I'm heading to a refrigerated warehouse on Friday to apply 2 stickers to 10 dozen cases or so of sausage.

Get to break out my thermal underwear one last time this year.

$30/hr including drive time, and the 30¢ per mile.

Way better than driving rideshare...

When I saw your post I was thinking you were going on a cool trip to tropical island to place stickers on banana boxes not sausage cases in an ice box.
Ended up being 216 cases.

They set me up in a room temp area which was good. Peeling the labels with gloves on would have been a pain.

I ended up getting a nice little bump on the pay as well, netting about $20 more than originally planned.

Classic rock not "retro". You're showing your age Coolmusic. What the hell do they call what I call oldies?

I enjoy both and even some of the new stuff.

I've never seen them state a cap, but if the time or mileage seems excessive, you're expected to explain it when you submit your expenses.

The merchandising arm of MarketForce caps the amount of time they'll pay, but I've gone over it more than once and been paid the full amount, so perhaps they only state that as a deterrent.

No cap presented for this one (I prefer to take projects with the per location pay), but I was working in an area where another crew was labeling boxes as well, with a supervisor. Even if I wanted to lollygag it to milk some extra pay, I wouldn't have gotten away with it.
