Service Scouts

Has anyone done any shops for this company? There's a breif discussion on the Vforums about them, but not too much, and not too recent. The reports seem very scary! Thoughts?

Wow, this original post was dated August 2, 2011 and the OP never got a response. I am not finding much on them either except something about bad communication and a shopper's payment being $10.00 short.

Does anyone have any thoughts on working for this MSC? The application process wants my driver's license (which I don't like giving out at all) and three references. It seems to me that they might not be worth the application effort.

This is the first I've ever heard of the company after 4 years of MS and on two different forums. Maybe that's why there wasn't a response.

I think I read in a previous post somewhere that Service Scouts used to be Service Solutions. I have never heard of them either but I have only been doing this less than a year.

Service Scouts was once also called Service Solutions, Inc. Service Scouts (www.servicescouts.com) changed its name because there was another company that also went by the same name. Service Scouts, Inc. is headquartered in Nevada and California. We primarily complete sporting event shops at major sporting venues across the United States and Canada.

In response to the posts above, the shopper who was $10 short on her payment was contacted immediately after she contacted me. She placed that post within minutes of calling me on my cell phone. The matter was resolved within the hour. I do not see her posting stating that here though. Please feel free to ask her. It was a simple matter of a typo.

In response to the post regarding lack of communication, to the original poster- I sincerely apologize. I can tell you that I personally answer all emails as soon as humanly possible as the Quality Assurance Coordinator for many areas. If it was me that did not respond to your email, I apologize.

Service Scouts, Inc. is a very hands on company. We train each and every shopper prior to their first shop with us. We go over the shop, the requirements and give tips on how to get it all done anonymously. We take a lot of time with our shoppers both before the first shop in phone training, as well as follow up to go over areas of question. In return, we ask our shoppers to be honest and thorough in their reporting and to have fun while doing so.

Please, if any of you have issues that are not resolved, do not hesitate to contact me or the owner of Service Scouts. You may email me directly at tracy@servicescouts.com or you may email through the "Contact Us" link on our web site.

I hope you enjoy your day!

Edited to add- I apologize- the shopper who was short on her payment did update her post stating that we had contacted her. I had not seen it until after I wrote this.

Out of curiosity, what could a mystery shopper report about last seasonwinking smiley

I could tell them that the Rams sucked. But hell, STL is a baseball town anyway. And did I mention we are still the World Champions, LOL!

Ditto. Welcome to the forum, TracyK. And LisaSTL is jealous of us Patriots fans because we have Tom Brady. :-P

Funny- I think I have you both beat- I'm from Buffalo- the only team to LOSE four Super Bowls in a row. SO! How do you spell Bills? Two "l's" or four?

Was a Pats fan when we lived in New Hampshire- that was back when Coach Parcells and Drew Bledsoe were there. Now, not so much. Not a fan of Brady or the head coach.

Now, if you all want to talk NHL- well, there you have me stuck. I bleed blue and gold for my Sabres, but I've been a die hard Bruins fan since I could stand on a pair of skates at age two. smiling smiley

Thanks for the welcome. I had been a member for a while, then left- but someone told me the forum was very active, so I came back.

Have an awesome day!

This is a great forum. Is it obvious that we sometimes get off topic?smiling smiley

@ LisaSTL: In this case, I don't think we have gone "off topic." Tracy represents a company that deals with sporting events/venues. Talking about tight ends and an awesome Patriots QB is sports-related. Now YOU talking about his VS underwear model/wife might be pushing it! :-P

At least we aren't talking about flying cockroaches and picking on the French and Canadians again! (Reference to other threads, funny threads actually.) :-)

I did work with Tracy after writing the original post & had no issues. Did 2 shops and realized it wasn't really my "thing."

The reports took some getting used to, and Tracy was very helpful.
I did some shops and Tracey is really good at communicating when there are issues. Attending sports events is not my thang, but they also shop concerts and shows. They are reliable in payments.

As a "Service Scout" The reports are detailed, and cover alot of information however, YOU ARE GOING TO A PROFESSIONAL SPORTING EVENT! It's well worth it and the seats that you receive are in amazing locations at times. Definitely a great company to work for and great evaluations to scout for them.
Thank you. smiling smiley
