Confero/Presto quick service restaurant audits

Just saw a crazy shop posting on Confero/Presto. They are looking for suckers I mean people to go into a fast food restaurant and do a pretty complex job of measuring windows, taking tons of pictures, counting advertisements, water taps, fountain units, etc etc etc all for $20 AND part of this $20 will include a "small purchase". This doesn't sound like a "mystery shop" to me. It sounds like they are trying to get around having real employees do this work and instead trying to get desperate people to do this work for almost nothing. How sad.

I saw that, too. Hard pass!!!

It is so insulting, they are just trying to take advantage of us.

I believe theres another thread here that mentioned measuring the windows.

Link?
Search?

I don't know what word to search on, but I remember someone did one and reported on it. If i recall all the windows were the same size. If i recall, they said it wasnt bad, and purchased the cheapest thing they could.
Presto geoverifys that you are there. Why do they need the purchase? But I will make a purchase before one of those stupid selfies.

Well even a small soda is $3. So you are looking at probably $17 max before taxes, gas, etc and there was a long listing of things to do. The least they could do is comp a meal. Still seems pretty crazy to me, sorry.

Search “suckers” lol
I read the same posting, and i agree with you. This shop fee should be doubled, at least....(20 interior photos?)
And then you have to beg Confero to pay you for your shop. They have scheduled payment dates, but very rarely honor them. I am still waiting on my payment that was due yesterday. I wonder how Confero would react if we didn't work our assignments on the scheduled dates.

I am now having to email Confero to beg for my payment. Plus you have to wait almost two months for your payment.

I just started shopping for them again after they banned me ages ago. I was late getting the report in for one of the fast food reward letter deals, if memory serves.

I've done 4 of the agrarian supply stores, all with nice bonuses. My first one was last month after I reached out to the scheduler when I could not self-assign. Now it would appear I'm back in their good graces, with self-assign privileges.

The report form had a question about referring others to Confero. I stated I could not yet pass judgement as I need to see how long it took to get paid, referencing the many comments here on the forum.

There were many of these shops in my area, and seemingly all of them went for $20. Someone in the other thread said a shop took him about 30 minutes. I figured it would take at least an hour and I had a bunch of gas stations to pick from, so I passed.

In the past 12 mos., I completed 8 shops for Confero. My pay arrived in an average of 50 days from report submission. Subtracting 5 days before the jobs were received, that time frame is acceptable to me.

Good for you.
In the spirit of "I'll try anything once" I signed up for a food court location. Piece of cake. (Without windows or drivethru of course). A side of sauce was .25 yielding the needed receipt. The instructions and report do not align, however. And, typos galore. One and done for me.
I have worked the grocery stores for Confero for years. I have always turned my reports in on time and have never had a report rejected. Last month, the scheduler, Robin, removed every shop that I had been assigned for May. These shops had been accepted and confirmed for weeks. I have never had a scheduler do something like this. She explained in an email that the shops had been assigned in error. This severely affected my pay. How could they be assigned in error? I worked these shops every month. I believe that she gave the shops to someone else who would work the shops that were further away without a bonus.

The funny thing is this same scheduler just sent me an email asking me if I could work all the same shops in June that I worked in May. What shops ????? I emailed her back that she had canceled all my shops in May even though the shops had been accepted and confirmed. I asked her how I was supposed to trust a company that would assign shops and then leave a trusted shopper in a lurch?
Texans,

Perhaps they lost the contract to do these shops. They (the client) then took them away.

Renegotiating later they needed them done quickly? Just a guess from what you wrote?
I just had an experience where a shopper was doing the same shops monthly and in such a way, I couldn't even apply for them.

Apparently they figured out the scheduler, who no longer works for the MSC, and the shopper (who can no longer work these shops I'm told) had some sort of side gig. The shopper got 99% of the client's shops. It was a regional client.

First shop i was able to get, 80% of the lights were out in the restroom. Were they reported previously? I don't know. But both the scheduler and shopper appear to be gone.

And so as not to cast aspersions, it was a different MSC.
