Madi,
It seems as if you're trying to make Independent Contractor jobs into something they aren't. You are agreeing to do a SPECIFIC job, one time, at a pre-determined time, for a specific amount of money. You are absolutely NOT being asked to work as a company representative for either the toy company or CI. In the guidelines for your job, it tells you exactly what you should be doing, and NOT doing, on the SINGLE visit that you signed up for. CI, and/or the toy company, will not appreciate, nor will they pay you, nor will you earn any "brownie points" for doing anything outside of the specific job that you agreed to do.
Please READ THE GUIDELINES. And if you have any questions about the guidelines, and what you should or shouldn't do, email your scheduler, and/or the program manager. NEVER give any business that you do merchandizing at your personal information other than your name when you give them the LOA. If the managers at the store question the LOA, encourage them to read it and contact their company representative, THEN LEAVE.
In the Go-Spot-Check App there are questions about this. Answer them honestly, if refused, take the pictures the APP asks for, then walk away, go home, you did what was required.
