I completely quit shopping for them for this reason. In my case, the only way that I was paid for several months in a row was to inquire about my pay. After that inquiry, I was magically paid.
Thanks, this is very helpful information for those of us considering shopping with them.
Do you think they on the brink of closing down or being acquired? They apparently lost the only client they had in my area because I noticed another MSC posting jobs for that one and I no longer get emails from them.
I've been paid without reminders. The language in the statement provides them with more flexibility. It's 30-60 days from the pay period end date. From my understanding, in a worst-case scenario, if a shop is accepted on the first of the month and the pay period ends on the 16th, then there are 60 more days from the 16th.

Given all that, I checked, and I've been paid 15 days after the quoted latest date. I haven't had to chase them for payment, but it does seem to be later.
Their main client in my area is a "casino." I'm using quotes because I don't consider the place a real casino, but whatever. The various scenarios are restaurant shop: small pay plus ($300 reimbursement), hotel stay with small shop pay and ($150ish reimbursement) or game play: small shop pay and ($80 reimbursement). With all three scenarios, the shopper can only pay in cash. There is also quite a bit of room for what they could consider an error due to ambiguous guidelines, especially in the game play scenario. I have only done the game play one and each time I had to chase down my payment AFTER the 60 day grace period. I feel like that particular client may be what is keeping the company afloat. There is also a pizza shop in my area that has a measly $10 shop pay and reimbursement for a large pizza specific to guidelines. Those are easy shops, but not worth the hassle of the wait for payment and reimbursement.
They also used to have a taco shop .. Not sure if they still do or not
I also have the pizza shop and found it to be a hassle to get paid. They also were weird about the survey. There were multiple spots that said they did not need to be filled out if you answered "N/A," but they contacted me saying I had to provide comments. They also pay via direct deposit by a third party. It's so much hassle and I won't be doing anymore shops for them.
@KV Thank you for your comment. We’d like to clarify a few important points.

This particular assignment was paid on September 29, only a few days later than scheduled and well before this post was made on October 14. Additionally, KV submitted an inquiry regarding statement 317 on September 26, and at that time, our response confirmed that payment for this assignment had already been initiated on September 23.

@Deedeezthoughts As for your concern about the company’s stability — we can assure you that’s not the case. Our attrition rate is lower than that of other similar shopping companies, and the number of shops conducted is up year over year. Sentry has been in business for more than 19 years and remains a healthy, growing company.

We value our shoppers and appreciate your partnership. Constructive feedback is always welcome, but it’s important to ensure information shared publicly is accurate and up-to-date.
Well, that is reassuring! Thank you for taking the time to respond @Sentry Marketing
