Ipsos- how long to review a shop?

They do not use AI to approve shops, all shops are approved by editors.

The review time recently has been terrible

I did their Chinese eatery on Friday and it was approved today (six days later).

I did a couple this past week.
Editor reached out with a question 4 days after submission.
I was just paid today for a convenience/gas station assignment I did on 9/6/25.

That’s a 2 month wait for a 10/10 rated report. Not very motivating when considering future postings.

Well, here again, we know it is a "she," but we do not know which editor is doing this. We wish we knew who you were talking about!

I had to fight an editor to get paid a $7.50 fee plus required out of pocket after receiving a request for an additional photo of perishable food 4 entire days after submission.

I replied I’d already provided what was requested (the report only allows one photo upload), and given the days that had elapsed, it was impossible to recover the food in its original form…

… but I’d be happy to repeat the assignment and be paid (and reimbursed for my required out of pocket expenses) for both efforts.

Received a reply stating the original would be approved “as a one-time courtesy.” Her Initials were TB.

Ipsos largely marches to only one drummer….dollars…. I find it necessary to track all of my shops with abscess, because they often “forget“ to process a shop for weeks or months!

I sincerely hope everyone keeps a spreadsheet of their tasks regardless of which MSCs they work with. I know exactly what is owed to me and by whom at all times. I cannot imagine doing this work without that.
1000000000% this right here!
Not just for what is owed but tax time is coming. I know we are going to see 100 posts about 'my 1099 included reimbursement' or 'I haven't gotten my 1099 yet' or PayPal sent me one too...
I never even look at those. My records are accurate and I do my taxes based on my records.

Yes, ipsos is taking much longer to review Chinese food shops. I did two on November 5, and just received the reviews today, November 14. The cell shop I visited on the same day was reviewed the very next day.

Shouldn't everyone who has MS already have a spreadsheet for tax purposes?
i will say, some of the gas station shops are taking a much longer time than normal to be processed - sitting for 3 or more weeks before editing?! The "twice a week pay" is kind of pointless when the shops take weeks to be edited. I guess we can assume they will be processed before Dec. 31st....maybe?
I just did a 2 part mystery/ reveal shop for Ipsos and the pay/bonus was nonstandard and very fair (deadline was hours away.) It was a quick one and I didn’t even expect pay until after Thanksgiving but it hit today.

If they keep it up, they’re going to be very popular with mystery shoppers looking to plus up quick this holiday season!

I remember being in the airport gate area waiting for a flight to Mexico when I received an email stating that the bottom of my receipt was cut off from a shop days earlier and to send a new one. I had to ask my hubby, who was home, to go into my files, find the receipt and email me a full new photo. Got it done just before boarding.

Husbands can be handy. I went into the ICU a few years ago in really bad shape. I sold solmething on Poshmark and he figured out how to ship it smiling smiley I was impressed.
They are definitely behind on Customer First. I've got a slew of them that are 2 weeks old and still in Completed status.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
Hey Cool!!! Home for the holiday?

I'm all but caught up, They seem to be keeping me on a steady payment schedule of about $200 per payday. If I don't fill up my list again soon I may not get a payday on Monday or Tuesday. I just about killed myself on Sunday driving to Louisville and back, I've been mostly sleeping all night and most of the day since then. I'm about to head out to a restaurant shop tonight, and then a long day of gas stations (never customer first) tomorrow, and groceries with extra gas stations for the rest of the week.

I don't seem to have to wait but a week at the most to get my stuff edited and approved. I think the longest I've waited this year was about 14 days, but most everything has been reviewed and approved in less than 10 days.
