I stopped doing the Sinclair's shops because it seemed I could never please the editors and since there are not a ton of them around me I just would not take them. But lately the few around me have had pretty big bonuses so I started doing them again knowing full well not matter how good you do they will find SOMETHING to complain about.
Last month it was the pump face photos they wanted them done a certain way (even when I did it like the photo example.) I got the comments, it too close, its too far away, turn it portrait instead of landscape. So this weekend I did exactly what they said to do and I seriously got the complaint "don't do portrait try landscape so you can get more in the photo". They want you to take a photo of the canopy so I did and was told "we want to see the pumps and columns under the canopy not just the canopy". Then why not say take a picture of the entire side of the fueling area including the canopy. Don't say take a picture of the canopy and then complain that its just the canopy.
Honestly, I don't pay any attention to the ratings they give as long as I am paid but this is getting right down ridiculous and becoming an running joke with me I end each job submitting on what will they complain about this time. I should start a bingo game.
