Point of sale shop

These finally have a better fee but looking at the website many of the locations left in my area are smaller walk up to the counter and carry out places. Do they even use this technology? What has the experience been for those who have done these shops? If the location does not use this technology do you still get paid? I would love some feedback.

Is this the debit card thing? They disappeared today. If so, no, you do not get paid unless all requirements are met exactly.
Sandy, it's the debit and cash purchase shops to check for credit/debit fees. carry out is easier with these in restaurants anyway.. The same red pins as before. Unfortunately they only seem to be in states that I don't go to currently. There don't seem to be any in AL, GA or TN, only in MS, and I don't go to MS.
These are different. Since I have no clue who the client is I'll state the MSC. It's intelli-shop. They are NOT the Visa debit card shops. For these you have to photograph the card machine and find out EXACTLY what brand/ model it is (even if you have to ask)

I have not completed one yet, the fee started out crap and they just went up a little now. I've been too busy this weekend to take one.
Hmmm... Ok. I'll look at intellishop and see what you're talking about.
I did one yesterday at a bagel store. It was very easy. The only challenge was identifying the brand of the POS terminal since it was "none of the above". The reimbursement is only $5 which was fine for this store, but the remaining ones in my area are restaurants. They would make sense if I could do all 6 on the same trip, but $5 is only partial payment even for just one dish. You have to pay in the restaurant. I am going to pass. Wish they had more in locations that made sense for me.

Yes the point of sale. My understanding was that it is the hand held machine where at a restaurant the server would input your order at the table. Why would a store like a bagel store or donut shop where you just get something to take home at the counter even use one of those? I have not taken one so have not seen the full guidelines but would you be able to just order a soft drink if the place is expensive? or a scoop of ice cream? Usually at a bagel shop you just say you want a plain bagel and they reach behind and grab one then ring it up at the register.
Not the tablet that the server would use to input your order.... it's the actual machine used to process a credit card for payment.

I'm only seeing one even when doing a broad search, @ $19.

It's a regional convenience store chain, so it certainly seems doable from a reimbursement standpoint.

Got a big road trip next month to SoCal so I am already scouting for prospects. Would be nice to put a string of these together.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
It is also not the small machine where you inert or swipe a card. The correct type is often used in bagel shops, hair cut stores, Nike stores, New Balance stores, small pizzeria for take out orders, etc. They are very common. A very popular one comes from a Company called Toast. There are many competitors.

Cool, not sure it is the same shop as the current fee here in socal is $9 and reimbursement is $5 however I often see fees from those of you not here in socal that are way above the fees here due to bonuses we almost never get. In any case since a few days ago when they raised the fee from $5 a lot of them have been taken. Unless they put up a new bunch next month I doubt there will be any left for you in January. And keep in mind for many of these leftover shops you will pay for parking or circle the streets for 15 minutes and then walk 6 blocks to the shop so I am reconsidering the leftovers myself even tho I live fairly close to some of them.

The ones by me are usually mom and pop restaurants, like a small Mexican restaurant. Haven't been worth it in my area yet. Reimbursement would cover a drink and maybe a taco.
The guidelines do not care if the food is dine in or to go. They do not care if you order one bagel or a dozen. I would consider taking one during the day and bringing the food home as a base for dinner. So far all the machines I have seen have the mfg. name printed on the customer facing side.
The one I found was made by Shift. I had to identify it as "Other" (and then identify it) on the shop report. As a customer, I often see terminals branded as Toast.
