Intellishop Oil change shops

So, at first they were paying a $150 fee for completing two separate shops, with an appropriate comparison section. Then, the fee dropped to $139 for the same (two shop) assignment....now the fee has dropped to $41. Seems a bit preciptious, or maybe a mistake, so I inquired with my Intellishop scheduler. Her response: "Yeah, we had to pay more because the shops just had to get done...." THat was a month ago...the shops are not getting scheduled in my area, and I am still scratching my head...

It's probably a new round of shops and they aren't anywhere close to their 'hard' due date....
still, they started at $150 for all shops,..now down to $41...seems like a BIG drop...
I wonder if they are dropping the price once so many have been completed. I've never seen prices to go down; I've always seen them go up.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I have just one listed in my area $10 fee with $145 reimbursement for single car oil change.

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
That's not the same shop. That is a different client, that one is at a dealership. The ones being discussed are at generic 'fast' oil change type places.

The oil change shops that my son does start out at zero pay with a $140 reimbursement. One of our cars generally needs an oil change right around the time that they add on a $30 or more bonus. I've never seen any of those other numbers as pay for oil change shops.
I did one for $130. It had started at $31 and gradually rose as they got desperate. The next round started at $31. I am months away from needing two more oil changes.

Shopping South Jersey, Southeast Pennsylvania, and Delaware above the canal since 2008
Here's an likely guess at what is happening here with auto repair shops of all types.....just a guess, mind you....the "fee" plus reimbursement is set at just below what one's cost at the oil change, or repair, shop is probably going to be. In essence, you, the shopper, are being offered the shop at a discount, albeit a large one, of what you would pay to get the service completed. Example, if a feulat (30 st.) oil change would cost $50 ( a good price) then the shopper's fee + reimbursement would be between $40-45. Not a good shop...10 ft.pole list!
In my area you are 100% wrong.
I have completed MANY of the single oil change at dealership with zero to little pay and reimbursement. Those have always covered the cost for me, with a small handful going out of pocket a dollar or two.
The two oil change not at a dealership I have completed as well. The reimbursement covers the cost as well. I was under reimbursement for one shop and pennies over for the other.

The good news is that if and when I need an oil change between times when my son can get the shop at the local dealership, I can take 5 dozen eggs and the oil and filter to the tire shop down the street and get it done. There are some slight advantages to having 100 chickens.
I have done all my oil changes using shops for various companies over the years and have never had to pay out of pocket. I have never gotten a bonus on those. But for the chain places you are allowed to use a coupon and they always have them which brings the cost down quite a bit to within the reimbursement.
I was all set to do an oil change until I read the fine print and see that they don't allow for Synthetic Oils.
I've gotten full synthetic on all oil changes with IntelliShop, both the single oil change shop and the one for two vehicles/ two visits.
