IPSOS would not pay because my GPS was 20 feet off address location!

This was for a large auto repair shop that takes up 1/2 a block. How can any reasonable person believe this is another location. It is ridiculous I am appealing this lunacy.

Didn't you also have to submit a receipt?
There were some oil shops that were inquiry only so possible no receipt. Fight it! They love keeping our money over stupid things like this. I'm surprised they didn't look online to see that the streetview would cover both addressses. Escalate to a manager!
^^^^^ What Ses said.

There should be manager info at the bottom of the guidelines. If not, reach out via your scheduler.

FWIW, if this was done through the "Magic" app it sounds like something you could take up with their tech support. They tend to bounce most things back to the particular MSC, but this would be an error on the part of their software. Their reports even account for GPS errors when checking in.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
Yep... if it was the Otter app you can still check in and even if you are much farther away you can still check in and report a location issue.

Did your photos show an address on the building?

20 ft. isn't as far as the first handicap parking spot on the Walmart parking lot. It is not far at all. I would escalate it as well.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Correct... not trying to be negative but how does this person know it was 20ft?

I think many people have had shops rejected for the wrong location before, I'd bet $$$$ none ever said you were 'xxx' feet away.

The Otter app is the only program I know of that says you are 'xxx' distance when you check in if the pin isn't perfectly accurate. And even then I've never had a shop declined when the address or business name matched in my photos/ receipts/etc

Over the years, I have had many instances of this MSC transposing numbers in an address, adding numbers to an address, giving the wrong street name, or showing the wrong town altogether. I fought them all and mostly won. Some report forms don't give a space to add comments or explanations.
That is what they are supposed to do.

GPS is not always correct. Sometimes, when I am at my desk in my home office, photos on google will show the address of the neighbor behind me.
I was at a store that required a picture with the location address and coordinates in the picture, with one of those GPS time stamp photo apps. When I was at the front of the store, it showed an address on the cross street, I had to go to the side of the building, facing the street that the actual address is on before it showed the correct address on the picture.

It could be just as simple as that.. check in on the side of the building that the street address is, or inside the door when you step inside the store.
I did a Field Agent job and it said I was .06 miles from the location. It's a rural area and the only gas station around. I took a screen shot from the store app while I was on the location showing I was in the correct spot (the store app said 0.0 miles), disputed the rejection and it was overturned. Luckily I've worked with Field Agent enough that when it said "You're not at the right location", I knew to take the screen shot from the store app.

It can be a very simple difference of their system showing 110 W. Main street vs. 110 Main street. As always, Ipsos is ridiculous. Escalate it.
