Ipsos issues

In December I did a bunch of bonused shops. All were approved before December 28, and I should have been paid for them on January 2.

But one shops wasn't paid. Shop complete, edited and approved before December 28, two other shops that were approved were paid, but not the third. At the time I thought, ok, so I'll get paid for it on the next payday, which was Jan 6, still didn't get paid for that one shop.

While we were in GA doing other stuff, I did a lighting audit because it was close to my grandsons' home (I still didn't get to see them), and I was going to be there anyway. That one was edited and approved and I thought everything was going to be hunky dory.

Well, today is January 13, and I STILL have not been paid for a shop I did in December and a shop I did in January 2026 that are edited and approved for payment.

I did contact Ipsos last week and was told they would investigate, and they said that they appreciated that I said I had never had to chase payment from Ipsos before.

Today I cancelled two jobs that I had scheduled because I still have not been paid. I do NOT work for free. And I won't schedule any more shops with them until I get paid.

Morled comments--Today I cancelled two jobs that I had scheduled because I still have not been paid. I do NOT work for free. And I won't schedule any more shops with them until I get paid.

Bob completely agrees--The above was concise and logical.
Somebody will do the jobs so the MSC couldn't care less about your cancellations. It's just the way they roll. You'll probably have to do lots of back and forth emails that go nowhere until you ask for a manager. Even then your chances are slim.
I’m with you on not completing shops when previous payments are overdue. I hope you communicated why.

Is there a way to find out who the project manager was for those? My luck runs 50/50 for success with that route, but it’s better than not getting paid at all.

I’ve stepped back from that MSC for that, and for editors that want me to lie and like to mess with us, because they can.

I hope you get paid. You’ve done so much work for them they should give you an appreciation bonus.

SBP,

Yep, I sent another email. To the "ignore.me.forever" email address and to Carey Medina and another person that I also believe is a manager or something similar there.

I explained everything, again.. and included the email history, and told them that I cancelled two jobs that I had scheduled for today because I still have not been paid.
It’s such a massive company…

I sent a query to “support” once and got a reply from someone in Germany who said they sent it to someone in the US…

After 3 attempts with no resolution I decided the rates and communication/pay issues were costing me too much.

From their perspective, what’s the loss of one or two it… ? ICs mean to the profit margin of a company that has access to a global population willing to work for less than we do?
I got a new message from them today saying that there is a glitch in the gas station program and they have fixed it and I will definitely be paid on Jan 20. But the other station that I still haven't been paid for is a different program, and I also did not get paid for that one. So I wait.. I don't believe anything without proof from these folks anymore.
I hope it works out.
I self assigned a gig that was located right next door to another gig I’d just finished, only to find the instructions were incomplete.
Reached out to the scheduler.
In 6 email exchanges nothing was resolved so I couldn’t do the assignment.
More wasted time ….
This is why I refuse to shop for Ipso any longer
I don't enjoy defending Ipsos. But I've done jobs for them for 14 years now, and this is the FIRST time I've had to chase payment. I don't hate them, I don't always trust them, I've been able to identify unnecessary lies many times. But when I agreed to do a job, I've never had to worry about getting paid until now.
I do hope you get paid MLZ.

Fourteen years is longer than most marriages last these days.

They should be giving you endurance and loyalty bonuses.
Just like they rate us, we should be able to rate schedulers and editors. Ipsos has gone downhill as of late.

Note - uber drivers and passengers rate each other and it helps the overall ecosystem.
I hate to see payment issues with them. Rarely do I have a problem with payment from them. I actually just spent the last 6 weeks going back and forth on the gas station debrand I did. I finally got them to admit that the changes I did were submitted (the shop auto rejected for not responding) but their system did not save. I don't know how they came to that conclusion (or maybe they just got tired of me) but they did put the $100 into my shop log for payment. Hoping it does go through with the next pay cycle. If I have to fight even more, I will lose my mind. I will say that Carey was very responsive with my issue but she had to pass it down to IT to get answers.
Here we go.. 3 weeks, still no pay. I already sent another email with less friendly language. If I don't get paid by next week I'll no longer be friendly.

Dont get me started on Uber. I still am fighting a payment bill from Uber eats which was incorrectly billed me. It was from a msytery shop I did. I got paid by the msc long ago but Uber Eats messed up. I think every one of their customer service people is that same AI robot.
In defense of this msc I did a delivery food shop at the wrong location ( did not notice that ubereats changed the delivery from location part way thru setting up my order) but they were quite nice and checked with the client and ended up paying me for the job. So kudos from me as i am a happy Ipsos shopper.
Sandy, I don't hate Ipsos, I've learned how to do their shops, how to wait for the bonuses that I want. I want to keep doing jobs for them, but I will absolutely NOT work for free.
Anyone else seeing a delay with shops being reviewed on a timely basis. I completed shops over a week and nothing.
Yes. I have seen a delay in review - for me it's the food shops but also one of the gas stations.. What's worse is that I did a bunch of Sassie gas station night shops (the brand that wants you to purchase a hot item for the audits). I had 19 completed and approved last week - and none were paid today.

I was finally paid for the gas station shop late today (16:57) Very late, normally I get paid after 17:00 on the Monday preceding payday. I still have not been paid for the lighting audit I did and was edited and graded on January 9.

According to the person I'm talking to at Ipsos, there is a "reviewed" status that I have no way of tracking. They said that editing and grading is not the same as "reviewed" and that I have to wait for that before it's paid. And there were some lies about it being a holiday yesterday included in the email as well.

I'm going to do my restaurant shop this weekend, but I'm absolutely not going to schedule anything else for any reason until payments go back to normal, or I find another revenue stream.
IPSOS is screwing me out of $30. I was sent an email last month about doing an AI Whiskey tasting interview for them. It was said to pay $75. I finally get my payment this month, and it's only $45. I've sent email after email to them, and now they are playing dumb like they don't know anything about it. Now, they are just ignoring my emails with no response. I keep emailing them because I want my extra $30 that I was originally promised.
