Beyond Hello

I've done 3 shops for Beyond Hello. This is really due to the fact that the locations are inconvenient. I actually made a serious- but understandable mistake on one shop, and they didn't make a huge deal about it. I got dinged a point or two- but that's fair.

I AM wondering when I'll get paid. It's been a little over 30 days.

I found the requirements to be pretty reasonable, and the shops weren't a big pain. I'd shop for them again and recommend them as well.

I have done three shops for them, but nothing since '08, because they haven't had anything that interested me that fit my schedule. I was very happy with them, and would shop for them again, given the right opportunity.
Did anyone else not get paid today from Beyond Hello? My shop log says I have shops due to be paid on 09/30/11, but I didn't get the payment.

I am not disputing GINABEYONDHELLO but they have on there website also that they are experiencing PAYPAL problems currently.

Does the Paypal problem still exist? I want to do 3 shops in my area and 3 shops in my vacation area but not while they are having "pay" problems.

"WORKING ON A PAYPAL PROBLEM!
Shopper payments are due today;
however, we are experiencing problems with our PayPal download.
We are working quickly to resolve this problem
and hope to have it resolved by the end of the day.
Thank you for your patience!"

and a pay problem is a pay problem.
I have shops scheduled for this week, but I'm not worried about one PayPal glitch. While rarely working for them these days, they are one of the first companies I started with and payment has always been on time. After 3 1/2 years with over 50 or 60 companies it's safe to say almost every one has had some type of issue once. With the good ones, like BH, it has always been taken care of within a day or two.

I'm not due for a payment this month so I wasn't aware of a delay, but I would agree that this is unusual. I wouldn't worry about getting paid.
I am doing a couple shops for them, one today, and not worried. Paypal gliches are easily fixed. I have never had a problem and they are one of my first companies, 6 years later, still working for them.

Yes, there is an issue with paypal and us today. I actually wasn't even aware of it until I got this threads emails. Our it department will work until it is fixed. While it is ironic we were talking about this on this thread and we had an issue, we do always pay, and the issue will be resolved.
My recent payment from BH was a few days shy of two months from the shop date. It was PayPal, with a note from BH "Thank your for your patience with this payment."
Since BH pays on the last day of the following month if you did a shop on 8/1 the payout is 9/30, just shy of 2 months. Are you saying it was later than their posted terms?

I received a small pymt. thru paypal which was a bit late, and did another job for them Sat. Discovered a neat place that I will use in the future, very fun job.....just got a 10, pretty quick grading considering they worked Sunday to get job edited, they are on top of it all.

Thanks. We all work very strange hours don't we? I am a part timer, so I am working late evenings. A lot of our editor staff is also part time. And yes, some of us work on the weekend.
BH has been a good company. Payment policy is about the same as other MSC's... always paid as promised.

Thanks Gina
I cant catch a break with this company. I have been applying for jobs in my area for a while and cant get assigned a job. Any tips.
I don't know where you are, but in Missouri some of their jobs go begging. Do you just apply on the job board or reply to scheduler e-mails?

ALWAYS apply on the job board. I know I always assign those first, then go to my email to see if anyone has said they could do a shop. Where are you audrialyn30?

Job board is www.BeyondHello.com.

Halo Ginabeyondhalo: Perhaps you could provide useful information about certification. Gold, silver or iron. How do you assign shops? If you have multiple applicants what do you see on your screen? do you see that bozo A has nothing and is relatively new but his rating is 9, while Princess B is and old timer Triple platinum with a rating of 7?
I am in the Raleigh-Durham area. I apply on the job board.

I have worked for them. They are very fair and great to work with. I only wish they had more work in my area. I hope this helps.
@ anakin

GREAT question. It is not the easiest to answer. Bozo who has a 9, how many shops has he done? How far away from the store is he? Has he answered the question I asked him to (THIS IS HUGE FOR ME BTW.) Princess who has a gold and a 7, tons of shops, and I know the name, I would go there depends again on how far away she is. When all things are even, two shoppers, both gold, both a 10 rating, both answered the question, both the same distance away, I go with the one who can do it first, and if they "flake" the other can do hopefully. If Bozo and Princess were same distance from shop, and answered the question, Depends but given no other info, the gold shopper is who I would chose. I know they take mystery shopping seriously, and the chance of a flake is less. I hope this helps. I LOVE THIS TYPE OF QUESTION BTW!!! I hope you can follow this train of thought...
but Gina: Princess's shop rating is only 7. So the 1/2 ton of shops she did scored less than 7.

On the other hand Bozo is 9.

Too complicated.
Gina, what's up with the whole distance thing. You've basically said a shopper with a lower rating may get preference over a shopper with a higher rating if they live closer. I can drive over 20 miles and still be in St. Louis city or county. I can also go a few miles further in 3 directions, cross a bridge and be in Illinois. Since my treks to other parts of town and across the river always involving scheduling multiple jobs why would I less likely to complete yours than a shopper who lives within a few miles of the location?

@ LisaSTL, Again hard to generalize, but the distance thing is given every other factor is the same. I agree that there are times when you are doing several shops and you want to group them that you would apply for shops farther away. If this is the case, I would suggest you send your scheduler an email. Or, if you mom lives in the city, and you are going to visit, let us know (I believe you can do this in the date doing shop field, but if not, email). I wouldn't give a shopper who had a 7 the shop over a shopper who had a 10 if they were closer, unless and only unless I had a relationship with the 7 and they were a mspa certified shopper. BUT THAT IS VERY VERY RARE! I schedule all the airport shops for Beyond Hello. I don't look at the distance for those at all!
Okay, that sounds better. On road trips I always communicate with schedulers, but not necessarily on an in town "route." It sounds like in the end there is no set formula for awarding shops. It reminds me of the discussion we all have about rating companies, there are way too many variables, LOL!
