New Presto app got me

I've been transistioned..

And I found a Shell station to do on my way home yesterday. It took me and my son 2 hours to get the shop completed. NONE of the submenus would open, not on my phone, or my tablet. We ended up opening up the regular website on the tablet. We were finally able to answer the questions, and the submenus opened up like they were supposed to. But the picture size problems are back. None of the pictures that we transfered were large enough files, so we had to email the pictures from the phone to the tablet 5 pictures at a time, so they would not be altered.

I want the old app and my cute little otter dude back.

Stick with the web. It performs way better than any app IMO.

I deleted the new app. I'm not sure who thought the upgrade was a good idea-- clearly someone who does not use the app!!

Oh my gosh! You guys have me scared! I use this app a lot! I haven't had to update to the new one yet. I am dreading this change!

I did a shop with it yesterday. I thought it was 1,000 times better! No glitches and photos uploaded much faster than the old version!

After talking about it a little bit, and after what Ses said. My son and I agreed that we're not interested in trying to finger out how to make the new app work. We just put links to the website on the home page on our devices and removed the app.

I'm hoping to take break from my routes to work on music for a few months, but will still be monitoring for healthy bonuses.

Guessing I'll be transitioned in the meantime. Almost afraid to open up the app in case I'm updated.

Seeing as you can bypass the in-app check-in thing by going with location error online, I may just make it a habit to always have my laptop with me on future excursions to ensure I can get my reports in somehow before the pins expire.

The old version has been pretty stable for me for quite some time, with the exception of it not recovering on my phone from their recent maintenance outage, causing me to eat 6 shops. I was able to redo all of them at a bonus to help offset the loss, tho.

Have synthesizers, will travel...

Cool, you don't need a laptop. Just use the Presto URL on whatever browser your phone uses for internet.

I have always found that the browser website for presto on my phone has worked better than the app. I will continue to use the website on my phone.

Cool, it's the same as using the Sassie platform, you just sign in like you normally would on your desktop. And if you click the 3 dots at the top of the screen there is a drop down menu. One of the options is to add it to your home page, it'll put an icon on your homepage.

The first station I did with the new app froze, wouldn't open, kicked me out, and yes, it took me 2 hours to complete. But it did get better on my 2nd shop, and now it is working fine.

I sure hope you and your son have less of a headache with just the website. I deleted the app and used just the website today, and it did the exact same thing as the app. It wouldn't upload photos; it would start all the way back over every time I tried uploading a photo, and it would crash... I am beginning to really dislike Presto. The old app doesn't work, the new app doesn't work, and the website on a phone doesn't work. Companies really need to move away from this app. It's horrific! Did I mention it's horrific?!!! I have been stressed all day trying to get the website to work right.

Ark, The website is reliable. It always has been. I liked Presto a LOT better when the website and the app worked together and looked the same.

A slight tangent: Green Dinos are now showing up on Presto, but with only a 12-hour window vs. multiple days on the newest MSC's site. I'll have to monitor closely next time I plan a route. I'm not a fan of hitting the road without a mostly booked trip, but the tradeoff for a much easier reporting experience is worth considering.

This app is useless on my iPhone.
Even with locations active, shops don’t appear, there’s no more list option, and if the map option does happen show shops, if you you click on the assignment it leads to a “null” page.

Well, Presto got me for 2 shops this past Monday. I won't be reimbursed for $12 in gas, $4 in store, and out $50 in shop pay. All because their app failed to save and upload my pictures after their app updated while I was on my 3rd shop. I thought we had 24 hours to fix any problems, but they denied both my shops 2 hours after I uploaded the 2nd shop. I appealed their decision, and they came back and said it failed, or they got 2 stations they could not otherwise get done for free.

So the list feature is there but they really didn't make it too noticeable. I have android so it shows up on the bottom of the screen where it says Location Based or Anywhere. If you flip that section up, the list appears. Would be nice if they sent out a little tutorial.

the filters are useless. Choices are project code (who knows that?) and min pay. also useless. I want to be able to search by a specific job or eliminate multiple. Never want to see AAA ever so make it go away permanently.

I'm not saying anything good at all about this app or their website because they both suck, but I used my Moto phone yesterday for a job, and it went tons better than with my Android. Either way, I have a meltdown every time I use either one, their site or their app.

James, I am sorry this happened to you. I had similar experiences. But I was allowed to grab the jobs again and redo the jobs without going back to the stores. I found my jobs under my settings on the hard drive of my phone's app and I was allowed to upload them again.

Hopefully you can get paid.
