in the wayback machine I was deactivated because a scheduler didn't communicate with me effectively. I asked for a job to be rescheduled, and then I didn't hear back. A week later she sent an email that said "you have to go do the shop" with no time frame or reference. I wasn't even sure she was talking about the job that I had asked to be rescheduled.

The next email I received said that I had been deactivated because I didn't do the job I had scheduled.

So.. I'm gonna say that I prefer Ipsos..

I've shopped with Intelli for almost 12 years. I've never had an issue with them. Matt has been great, he's scheduled many projects I've done over the years.

I would rather listen to Caillu on repeat for days than deal with one specific IPSOS editor.
I love them both, they have great schedulers --- consistently have jobs --- pay schedule is fine for me. Been a member since 2019.
Ipsos by far. Never had any issues with Intellishop...

IPSOS for sure. At least Intelli responds to me when I am having an issue.
90% of my shopping income comes from these two companies. No issues with either. I've kind of taken the Bob approach of discontinuing any that are difficult or hard to collect payment from.
I like them both. I've never had any problems with either of them.

So Salisburync, what do you think? With your smirk you sound negative on both of them to me. I too like them both.
love them both, rbg and intouch. I make at least $300 a month from these 4
smile...Every one likes SB's approach...
sandy...I have a love/hate relationship with them both...I have been around so long that I have deep experience with both, back to when both started up. sometimes they are great, sometimes they are really bad....communication with IPSOS is almost impossible to achieve....they just don't respond to any attempt...and Intellishop sometimes is frustrating...but when things are going smoothly, I like their bonuses and quick pay. I never do work for them at base pay...ever! IS is pretty good, but sometimes dull/not understanding, and rigid. So I would say I would give IPSOS a C grade and IS a B grade.
No issues with Intellishop. I have not worked for IPSOS for years. Scheduler issues.
I like both of them. I LOVE the editors of Intelli but am starting to dislike the editors with IPSOS. Intelli is consistent with everything. IPSOS and their editors are not consistent at all.

Anyone notice this page takes longer to load than any other.
This page for me loaded only the first post. This has happened lately with other pages leaving me to wonder why, after so many days absolutely no one else has posted on the thread. It finally seems to post the rest of the replies if I hit reply.
As for my assessment of these companies I do a particular job for Intelli twice monthly. The shop is the same and my reporting method is the same and yet generally it passes with flying colors but every now and then I get an editor who has a different opinion of the rules. Overall I like them and the main scheduler for me is responsive.
IPSOS I use mainly Shopmetric. Their responsiveness varies using the help email. If I have a question sometimes I quickly get several responses, other times the response comes days after I have done the job. My favorite scheduler works for them but if the job is through someone else it seems tougher to get responses. But I like them too althou I recently got the lowest score on a shop ever for me. It was a complex shop not at all worth the fee (after the fact of doing it) but even with a low score they are paying me in full.
Pay for both of them is great compared to other msc however the entire industry pays below living wage.
I've had issues with Ipsos. Intellishop has always been decent and I've shopped with them since about 2007/2008. Some gas stations they recently got the contract on pay less than the old company, but this is not abnormal in this industry.
Just be aware that all MSPA member Mystery Shopping companies are subject to a Code of Conduct that requires them to behave ethically. They may also be in breach of contract if they de-activate you or fail to pay you (in part or full). Please feel that you can take action against them if they hurt you. You have rights as a consumer.
I like both. Intelli has better guidelines and reports. IPSOS could be troublesome at times.
Not sure if I've ever done a shop for IPSOS.

I've completed countless shops for Intellishop back in the day, but scaled way back when I got out of college.
The pay was OK (circa 2009-2011 I was typically getting $15 per shop), they paid quickly and the forms weren't too bad.

No idea what they are like now as I stick with financial shops, special project shops and theme parks.
I'm going to go with neither, because worseL is not a word.

Ipsos:
I concur with most previous comments. The “Support” email is unreliable or vague at best, especially during an assignment. I imagine they have to field a huge number of questions about different assignments they may not be familiar with, so vague responses might be better than none at all from their perspective.

I prefer the personally emailed jobs with a good scheduler for the best experience all around.
I’ve had more than one almost completed self-assigned report “fall off” waiting for a key reply to a foundational query from the general support email resulting in wasted effort, time, and overhead costs, so I never do an assignment if I have key unanswered questions in advance.
Shopmetrics portal is my preference, although it does glitch with large file uploads.
My editor ratings are 10/10. Respect and dignity inspire more of the same.
I do appreciate how quickly they pay (smile).

IntelliShop-
For me it’s depended on the scheduler and type of assignment. Most do not appeal to me due to low compensation, lack of clarity, and the mandatory dreaded geotag app that isn’t accurate.
Editing and payment have spanned extremes. I’m happy to work through anything that needs adjustment with an editor who has good command of the language we are asked to write in and reaches out professionally.
I stepped away a while ago after several issues of unfair non-payment for 10/10 level work due to the opposite. It’s just not worth the risk of wasted time, skills, and resources for the aggravation and so little $$.

The repetitive emails for low paying work inspired me to unsubscribe, except from schedulers I’ve had good experiences with.

Gratitude for Bob’s shared wisdom. This is our business. Clear boundaries and ethics matter all around. Desperation doesn’t pay well, and paying more than the job is worth to do the work, isn’t good business.

These are interesting times all around right now. Everyone’s stressed.

Kindness and smiles are free. Complementing someone by name can shift an entire week for someone.

I consider dignity (as opposed to entitlement) to be a basic human right.

Many of the “gentlest” approaches, thoughtfully chosen words, and “smallest” gestures disarm a downward spiral and inspire big shifts.

Grateful for the community, wisdom, and common ground here.

Be safe and prosper (grin).
I agree with ShopperBob...Ipsos is not worth my attention....Intellishop is sometimes difficult, and when that happens, it seems that no amount of reason will sway them.
I just asked for a bonus on a $20 Intellishop assignment. It came with the usual vague description so I asked to see the guidelines.

They were very detailed, and entailed with narratives specifying that one lapse would void payment.
I did the math. It would cost me $15 in gas and 5 hours of my time (commute, on site photos, interactions, report, and editing) and respectfully shared that it would require a bonus to result in any profit for my effort and time.

No room for flexibility, so I politely declined.

Had I not asked to see the guidelines, it would have seemed like a quick visit and short report.

Be very careful.
IPSOS hands down ! Now, with my opinion, I only do gas stations. I did all the different shops years ago. For me, too much of a hassle no matter what company. ALL of the other companies that do gas stations, are too cheap. Ipsos pays weekly and working through PRESTO (paid twice a week). I have never had any issues with the editors. They would email me, we would work it out. I have NEVER had a rejected shop in over 15 years.
