RQA - Anything?

Just curious, has anyone seen RQA projects in their area? I used to have at least one project a month for them, but only 2 total so far this year. Wondering if its just my area, or if they are winding down...or what!

It's funny you posted this. I just received an email about some type of fruit recall, but the site just spins. I can't get in to see what it is.

Same here. I log in but can't go any further. It times out after 5 minutes.
RQA was having site issues. I just assigned some just now.
The site became amazingly slow on Friday morning. I spoke with RQA personnel and they said they were working on it. The scheduler's screens were at least as slow. I managed to assign 3 of the fruit recalls this morning. Seriously slow.

The good news is that the reporting app worked fine yesterday.

You would get a whopping mileage check for $48. LOL Altogether, $68.

Not sure about your math...I did a RQA job last year, 155 miles(310 round trip) $93 + paid $20 an hour, 8.5 hours. $170 + 93 = $263. I also threw in 2 Shell and 2 Exxon shops, $105 + 86 = $191. $450+ day !!

That was a nice paycheck! I did 30 cents a mile for 160 miles plus the $20 for the job. I didn't think about the per-hour rate. That would bring the price up.

You get paid for drive time and administrative time, so how ever long it took you to drive there and back, plus time spent printing materials, reading instructions, entering expenses...all hourly. If you choose hourly.

I just got a new beautiful SUV that's a gas guzzler so I am not traveling far for the fruit cocktail recall, and none of the available locations are in my city. Oh well.
I grabbed 3 of the product "withdrawals" this weekend, the site was terribly slow but I had no issues submitting in their app and the stores didn't have any product. Easy peasy.

Maybe I will rethink this next time. I am not really comfortable going to private homes to make pickups.
They have a few recalls right now in my area but nothing I am interested in.
Joanna- DId you do the fruit cocktail? How did it go? do you usually do the hourly pay?

THX

The fruit cocktail recall is not going to people's homes, it's going to stores. They do have consumer complaint retrievals as well, and I do both, but when they have a recall it is NOT going to someone's home.
In the last week I have done multiple recalls of a particular flavor of ice cream and (separately) of fancy pancake mix. These were all for the large buying cooperative behind the biggest supermarket chain in NJ (they are also on MD, DE, PA, CT, and NY). They went smoothly as is always the case with this chain of stores.

Today I had 3 retrievals of fruit salad. 2 of the stores were part of a discount food store brand. Both managers refused to tell me their names and refused to let me take photos in the store. They said that a letter of authorization from the supplier that does not even mention the name of the supermarket is not enough. The supplier should have contacted the supermarket chain and gotten their approval in advance. I did what I could. I tend to agree with the managers. One threatened to call the police if I took photos on the store. I did my best, and reported what happened.

The third store was a physically large store that is part of a regional Hispanic food store chain. The manager refused to provide their full name, but allowed me to walk the aisles, but not go into the back storage area. Again, I tend to support the manager. I reported what occurred.
