Kudos to Customer Impact

I had a great experience with Customer Impact this week. I don't shop for them often, as they have only one client in my area and the shop has a 120-day rotation. Anyway, I signed up for this particular restaurant shop to be completed the week before last. I completed it and entered my report online the same day, but apparently I never submitted. Six days later, I logged on to see if my report had been scored and was super bummed to see it listed as INCOMPLETE. I wasn't sure if it had been returned to me for clarification or if I had not submitted, but either way, I had not received an email telling me it was late (or that there were problems and it had been returned). I submitted right away and emailed the scheduler. The next morning, I got a scoring email from the editor, stating that I had been given a 9. She did tell me that, unfortunately, she had to deduct $1 for each day the report was late. I was bummed, mostly because I never got notified that the shop had not been submitted. I emailed the editor and the scheduler to express my disappointment, and they kindly removed the pay deductions and changed my score to a 10. I totally appreciate them giving me the benefit of the doubt.

They're a stand up company.

There are reasons that a body stays in motion
At the moment only demons come to mind
They are your biggest cheerleaders and truly treat their shoppers as individuals. smiling smiley

They were one of my first companies when I started out. I still do shops for them, but not as much. They lost a big client who had a lot of stores in my area. sad smiley They are great.
They are superb! I wish the shop rotations weren't so long, though. One of the rare companies that encourages "being tough" on shops. I don't go overboard--just tell it like it is--but I guess they don't bow to their client if a less than sterling shop comes their way.
I love Customer Impact! I have been working with some of those folks for almost 20 years now. They all have respect for shoppers and treat us well.
actually, i had a problem with them....they claimed the restaurant insisted they followed my directions....i ordered an item with 1 modification...they made 2 modifications and insisted that by asking for one modification it also meant make the other one...but my report was accepted and I was paid...had I been a regular paying customer...i would have blown up the restaurants FB page with the attitude they gave......customerimpact had given me a very hard time about it.......

I love love love them and their high-end steakhouse shops. I like that Italian restaurant chain that they shop too. I just wish there wasn't a year-long rotation, sigh.
I m doing my first shop for Customer Impact on Saturday. After reading all of this good stuff, I am looking forward to it.
Just did my first shop for them yesterday. Waiting to see if there are any issues with my report. And based on what I've read, hoping they'll have more shops in my neck of the woods.
I have never had a problem with them. They are easy to work with and if you see a shop you want and it is within the 120 day rotation, email them and ask for it. They will on occasion assign it to you anyways.

They are great to work with and I have never had a problem with them that I did not create...lol
They will wave the rotation day if I ask for a particular shop, because no one else will come around these parts to do it. smiling smiley

Yay for me. winking smiley
@Afreeman: I love the sentence, "They are great to work with and I have never had a problem with them that I did not create...lol". That pretty much sums up my entire mystery shopping career. grinning smiley

Thanks for the laugh!

I love Customer Impact, too! I really goofed on a shop and contacted them. They fixed it and didn't penalize me! They're awesome!

It appears that I have done 7 shops with them. One very high end steak house shop $205 was rejected for a number of reasons. I have to claim that we did order an appetizer and salad (only 1 was to be ordered, and they were going to deduct the cost of the salad). Good, so far. I was in the bathroom when the check was presented (my husband did the timing), but he did not order a dessert. Required. The kicker was "the special occasion." The instructions was to mention a special occasion during the phone call. I found out that one cannot be creative when not told what special occasions were allowed. We celebrated the end of tax season (any one in this business knows that accounting firms have end of tax season parties, some more glamerous than others)...and the fact that my husband's cardiologist said his open heart surgery was very successful at the 3 month post surgical appointment. I felt they were both valid reasons for us to celebrate. Steak House did not. Shop was rejected. I was paid $15 shopper fee, and we ate the $200 dinner and $5 parking lot attendent tip. I have since done other restaurant shops for them, but none costing more than $50 to $75. And, I have had no other problems...and I am much more careful!!
I'm working up the courage to start adding restaurants to me schedule. Do they require pictures of the food? My photography skills are dicey at best, and I worry about "being caught".
I've done shops for Customer Impact in the past, and never had any problem - as long as I followed the instructions perfectly. I've found them easy to do shops for, as long as I review the form and instructions in advance. I normally take my cell phone with me and when I go to check the restroom, text myself any details that I might forget and will need for the form.
I really enjoy working for this company. I find that the staff at CI is really nice and helpful.

Neither of the two restaurant shops I shop for them require photos of the food, but it could vary from client to client. That said, if you do a restaurant shop that does require food pictures, I would't worry about being seen. People take photos of their food for Instagram or Facebook all the time these days.
