Sentry Marketing Payment

I did a SM shop on July 15. I was told that it took about 60 days for payment and then a additional 5 days or so. As of Sept 25 I have not received my payment. Will I be pay by check or Pay Pal.

I checked the web site and it still says pending. I have e-mailed the help desk on Wednesday and as of this afternoon I have not heard anything. My information is correct in the system. Guess they are busy

Why does SM take about 60 days to pay while others take about 30 days?

Hi Isaiah

I couldn't find a support ticket related to payment in our open ticket list. If you email me directly at dave@sentrymarketing.com I will research the issue and resolve as soon as possible.

Thanks

Dave
As an aside to the payment issue itself, just wanted to point out that MSCs have a wide variety of payment dates. Sentry tends to take 60+ days, but so do others. Advanced Feedback is on a 60 day clock; Cirrus takes 90+ days as a rule; Service Sleuth, Reality Check, and Ath are just a few others take two months. It all depends on who you work for. Sure, I wish they were all 30 days, but the reality is that some companies, including but not just Sentry, do pay on the 60-day clock.
Orrymain, I hope you see this, so with Service Sleuth, if you did multiple shops in a month on different days do they pay you exactly 60 days from each shop, meaning multiple payments from the company in one month?
Delights, it's my understanding that it's supposed to be 60 days from the shop acceptance. The last couple of months, though, what I've seen on the website are notices that say all shops in <insert month> will by paid by blah-blah. The last couple of payments to me have been taking about 75 days and not 60. Right now, for example, there is a message when you get to the sign in that says all July shops will be paid by 9/30 or sooner. They are obviously running behind regularly for some reason, but I do like that they are posting the dates in an upfront manner!
Are you guys talking about Sentry Marketing payments or Service Sleuth payments? The thread title says Sentry but Delights is talking about Service Sleuth.
We're talking about both. A comment was made about Sentry as if it was the only company to pay in 60 days. I replied that they are not the only company and gave a few examples of others who have the same policy. Delights then asked a question about Service Sleuth and I responded to that.
For Sentry, my shop on July 10 was generated on September 20, it showed up today. My July 15 shop shows "pending" status.

I opened a ticket with Sentry late last week for my Feedback Plus shops completed on 7/20, and accepted on 7/25. The stated pay policy "within sixty days" should mean just that, and 60 days from acceptance ended on 9/23. Tell me you'll pay me within 75 days and let me be happy to get payment 3 days early. Management of expectations: one of the first things companies should learn.

As of COB today, no response to the ticket and no payment either by check or Paypal. This really is disrespectful of Sentry's shoppers. I'm more than a little concerned, especially as I had 2 more shops done for them just a week or two ago. I sure miss Feedback Plus with their better pay for the same shops and quick payment.

Email me at dave@sentrymarketing.com and I will be happy to look into why you did not get a response to your ticket and the status of your payment.

Thanks

Dave
I also miss Feedback Plus' earlier payment schedule. I performed a Feedback Plus shop on July 22 that was accepted. Someone did respond to my ticket stating my payment was in the next batch of Paypal payments going out this week. So, payment is now over 60 days. I have the same shop scheduled for tomorrow, but that will probably have to be rescheduled until the outstanding shop is paid. There is too much out-of-pocket for too long with some of their shops.
Orrymain, I do shops for Service Sleuth. Their payment schedule is even longer than that of Sentry, but I have no problem with that as they clearly state how long it takes for shops to be paid, and they pay within that period. And I choose to do a shop, or not, knowing the payment schedule. Again, management of expectations. I do want to say that Dave at Sentry contacted me and is trying to resolve this issue, which I appreciate.
Has anyone been paid for July shops yet? I opened a ticket and was told payment would go out last week. I opened another ticket today, and now I'm being told payment will go out this week. I'm now at 10 weeks plus.

I have not been paid either.. I also was told that I should expect payment on Oct 3 and if I don't have a check buy October 5 reopen my ticket.
Marg & Isaiah, IMO at this point you should both email Dave from Sentry at the email he provided and ask him to resolve this issue. I'm sure Dave doesn't want Sentry to get any more negative feedback for late payments.
Seriously. I am not working for any company that routinely makes you "open a ticket" or email for payment. Late by a couple days never bothers me. Having to chase down a payment really does.
In my decades of shopping, I have never had to chase down a payment. Although some companies pay in 60 days, like Service Sleuth, it is 60 days exactly. I opened two tickets, and the last response was an incorrect "I told you already." I sent an email to Dave. It is now 74 days since the shop was "accepted," and tonight's scheduled shop will probably be cancelled. This is a business.
Dave replied to my email promptly, apologized and processed payment. If you have an issue, email Dave.
I am not giving any negative feed back.. I am just wondering is all.. I have e-mail Dave again on this matter.

Sentry is last in my list. Guidelines and certificatifications, slow payments discourage me to make them not my priority shops
