Yup. We can wonder, but no one can tell us about employees' situations.
So, how do other posters know so much about Acosta employees? Why have I only seen one of them, who looked like a million bucks and worked quietly?

I have seen two in a store at the same time. They said they work different divisions. I have never seen one actually do anything. Neither looked like a million bucks. They looked like retirees.

An important thing to know about Wal-mart is that they forbid vendors to use shopping carts to do their jobs. Doesn't mean that it does not happen. But you are not supposed to do it.

This is a regional rule, not corporate. If you took the certification training to become a preferred vendor, you will see it is not a corporate rule. You can't use pallet jacks or run the bailer though.

Yes, the shopping cart is a store-to-store rule. The employees with the red tablets, most of them, are basically auditors for the client. No matter, even if you are the CEO, if you work for Acosta one of your duties is to fill any oos product and fill any voids, on-hand errors, ghosts or baffles. However, there are primary responsibilities depending o the team and the client. Some red tablet employees work directly with a client's rep introducing the system used and giving feedback for improvement and you won't see them stocking. Some, are in the store strictly for sales. That is the case with most merchandising companies though.
Has anyone had an update on this situation? I still work for a couple of companies that are not part of the preferred list for WalMart. I have asked on more than one occasion whether they will be allowed to continue merchandising in the stores. I have been reassured that they will be able to continue. Here's where my cynicism comes out --- I think not. I think they are just waiting until right before the transition to let the employees know so they still have a workforce until after the holidays. Has anyone heard when the five companies are supposed to take over the merchandising? I am looking for other part-time work and am curious how much time I have left before the proverbial ax is dropped.

January 1 is the drop dead date I was told.
I heard February but have also heard some companies have already switched to Walmart only teams. If you like working Walmart, I suggest you apply with one of the preferred vendors. I would think they are all going to have hire Walmart dedicated teams. Most reps I know are looking forward to getting out of Walmart and are not applying for the dedicated team jobs.

Has anyone heard anything more about the WM transition? I work for a company that isn't one of the chosen 5.. The home office hasn't said much, except they are working to get back in. Then my supervisor told me we are merging with one of the 5...She said it isn't her place to inform me of the company, that they will make the announcement.
I'm beginning to look for another job, feel like they are just stringing us along...like till all the clients pay. They wouldn't want a bunch of us to quit till all contracts are fulfilled.
Is 1/31 the end of work??? Anyone know?

spicy1 I'm not sure where you're getting your information but Advantage and SAS aren't attempting to merge, they have. My advice is Advantage/SAS over Acosta.
Since Acosta has over 90% of the consumer packaging business, whereas Advantage with their one large account and SAS with absolutely zero continuity accounts, as well as not yet as of December 11,2017 has Walmart approved of the merger on paper to then allow Advantage into Walmart even with a merger. If you look at their income statements, you will see that Acosta has well over $8.5 billion to Advantage's $5.3 which will decrease by 75% in January. Let's not forget the hundreds of lawsuits on SAS's books to be reconciled soon.
Besides that, I think you can make your own statements without including the use of me or my statements to make your point, I'm not your ladder. You'll just cry about it later in other parts of the forum!

Do you work for Premier? sounds like what the premier execs have been doing.But premier is merging with premium and they claim they dont expect any job changes for at least 1 year. The merge was supposed to be final december 1, but premier isnt saying much.

I just quit the Crossmark WM team... not enough hours and too many unpaid 39 mile drives... but we were told January 1st for the switchover, with a couple of weeks for transition time.
Also, we were told in a teleconference with the Walmart management that Acosta and Advantage would both continue to be in store.
My understanding is that the preferred vendors will have WM badges issued permanently, and use the new Volt app to check in and out. Other vendors will still use the book and vendor badges.

I've been told the WM transition is effective 2/1/2018. I've already started signing in with Volt. Today I was told that companies not one of the 5 will also be signing in with Volt. Walmart wants to be able to "track" everyone in the stores. Just what I was told.

I don't work in Walmart now, I have the Grocer side. Have any of you that work the Walmart side asked any of the reps if Walmart is doing the Field Agent mystery shops?

It has to be Walmart. I just had a Field Agent Mystery shop denied because one of the names didn't match their list of employees for that location.
Its NOT Walmart. Walmart doesnt allow their employees to be photographed for @#$%& sake

Because they state in the instructions that reported names will be checked against the list of employees at the location.
And so that means they have a list of employees at the location?
How can your report be denied for a name not matching? Their names are big and bold on their name tags.
