I think at this point I would rather see porn on the forum than another troll. Besides I haven't see the "50 Shades" movie yet so it would save $12.00!

Well, there is an adult merchandise store that is shopped.

You just might get what you asked for. smiling smiley

Vlade5394, I actually have no desire to see the movie but I've heard through the grapevine that I would be better off visiting a Home Depot or Lowes rather than an adult store.
Ah, yes, that's where the real power tools are sold.... smiling smiley

Ew. Gross. I think I prefer the trolling and sniping. tongue sticking out smiley

I'm sure that you have quite the collection.

Let's not engage.

I have three drills, a sawzall, an electric screwdriver, a jigsaw, a chainsaw, a weedeater, and a circular saw. Home Depot is my favorite store. I have more tools in my garage than most of the men I know.

Get your minds out of the gutter. What did you think I was talking about?

Dspeakes,

Have you seen those little circular saws that you can hold with one hand? I want to get one of those!

Kim
I've seen them. Cute as heck. I've never had a need for one ... so far..... smiling smiley

I thought we were talking about the movie "50 Shades of Grey." Sawzall and jigsaw? Now you are speaking a foreign language. I own a hammer and I drink screwdrivers.
LOL. I'm not sure there's only one conversation going on here.

Nasty, name calling, negative, repetitive posts are troll-like behavior. So if it quacks like a duck...

You mean name calling as in calling someone a troll? Don't you see how it never ends?

If we call everyone who is disagreeable a troll, let's just say most of us may qualify. Naturally I don't mean me. I get along with everyone. Hahahahahahahahahahaha

@ LJ, I said troll-like behavior. And I said duck.

And a good number of the "disagreeable" person's posts have already been deleted by Jacob or a moderator so you are not seeing the troll-like behavior anymore. That is why I still think a "mod note" would help when a post is deleted. Otherwise the thread usually doesn't make sense anymore.
Probably would be a good idea to stop talking about them anyway. It just encourages the behavior we're complaining about. Getting several posts deleted hasn't stopped the unpleasant responses. Maybe ignoring them completely as if they didn't exist might. But I think when a poster responds with name-calling just because they don't like what they were told, I think the term troll can be applied.

I agree about the poofed posts leaving confusion in the thread. But at least now they are also deleting the posts that quoted or responded to the poofed posts, so that helps. Except now there's a "twilight zone" feel to the thread, like where you could swear you posted something there but it's gone now so you go hunting for the post in other threads because you're sure you said something but can't find it anymore.

The problem is the poster in question continues to engage even after having repeated posts removed. She doesn't seem to get that having a post removed by the moderators is a way of saying, "Knock it off." I get the impression that the mods aren't saying anything to her, they're just sanitizing the thread to remove the negativity. But she's back on that thread with more nastiness and making snide remarks about why the posts were removed.

I've toggled her. I'll try to ignore her. But seeing that "post hidden" bar in a thread is like a traffic accident. It's hard not to look.

It takes two to engage. The problem now is not the trolls. The problem is us, as in Pogo: "We have met the enemy, and he is us." Apparently we cannot let it alone.

LOL. That coming from the one who told us how much she enjoys bantering with the trolls.

that's okay.... we're all trying to stop, just some not as successfully as we'd like.

They should title "Fifty Shades Of Grey" to be every virgins fantasy. I found it tedious and boring and left before it was over which I rarely do.
Over for us, maybe, but we've already got another. new poster signed up today and in 13 posts all but a couple have been scolding posters for drifting off topic, three times in one thread. No way this is a new member. Just another clone with an axe to grind. I'm sure he'll show us the blade soon. Right now he's trying to up his post count so he won't be seen as so "new" when he trots out his rant.
