I do one Five Guys shop almost every other month for a very strange reason: I have a credit card that occasionally offers bonus cash back for Five Guys purchases.

The MSC that does it isn't particularly my favorite. The shop commission is low. I *don't* like the burgers or the fries (burgers are too sloppy, fries are limp and soggy and way too many of them). But, when I get 30% back from my credit card on top of full reimbursement, plus getting a small commission, I can't resist.

Yeah how about a hint?

Actually raisitup already gave a great hint.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
I think I was outed today. When I left the cafe, I was told by the crew, "Have a great evening. Come back soom." That phrase was not use on anybody else while I was in the restuarant.

Plus in all the time I have been doing 5Guys, I have never heard them say anything to anybody leaving their establishment.

Oh well, another FF bites the dirt for me. I know my waistline will appreciate it.

So the real question is___"Did you see any employee go above and beyond your expectations?"
I've had them say a range of different greetings and partings comments, so maybe you're OK. That's one of the reasons I like shopping them, they're all doing their jobs but keeping it loose, fun and a bit random.
I've done probably a dozen five guys, always nicely bonused. The food is better than McDonalds, and if you don't like the fries, just toss em. I haven't seen a five guys in my area lately, i'm hoping they'll be back on the board soon.
The best is where do you get yuor groceries and donn't forget "Let the _____ be with you. Then pur them together and you will see the MSC.
Did the mystery shop today and ordered a hot dog. Cashier told me they were out of hot dog buns. This was at 5 pm. They cut the hot dog in half and I got it on ahamburger bun. Just not the same thing as I expected and made for interesting report. I wonder why they didn't just buy some buns at the grocery store next door.

This EXACT thing happened before.... The answer to your question: NO. They can NOT buy buns at the grocery store. Why?? They bake their OWN bunssmiling smiley

I guess they can't bake them fast enough!
A couple of years ago, I went to a little, rural Subway. They were supposed to be open until 9, but it was 6:10 when I arrived and the employee was locking up for the night as they had run out of bread.
I liked to do these when I had a few shops in the same area on a weekend; it was a nice way to get a free meal. The report isn't difficult to do.
I now prefer the online shops. I hate ordering a burger and waiting see if they offer the fries or drink. Sometimes it involves a staring contest.
I've never had a problem with the 5 Guys shops, and I've gotten to the point where I can keep the food at or below the reimbursement level and still come out making money. 3 scheduled for this month!
5 guys is the shop I do the most. I've written as many bad surveys as good ones. I get called all the time to do them. If anyone would be rejected for giving bad surveys it would be me.

As for Iow pay I do not understand? I am not aware of any other FF shops that pay better what I'd call better.

Some places are reimbursement only. Some offer $4 range fees plus $10 towards a purchase that is going to be over $11. A few pay reimbursement plus about $10. Many are like 5 guys $7 range plus $11 towards reimbursement.

I was lucky. I ordered my burger and the cashier asked me if I wanted fries and a drink. smiling smiley

Regardless of what is or isn't said, all we do is follow the guidelines and report accordingly.

"Fries and a drink" is like 1% of what your looking for.

Five Guys is the only FF I would do. Other FF are nothing compared to the ease of doing the Five Guys report. I do them with bonus mostly. But the fries are an acquired taste but my friends and family like them.

I found the little burger are better without too much toppings added to it except grilled mushrooms and mustard. So I ask them for tomatoes and lettuce but eat them separately. I can never finish one sandwich so I taste it and rewrap it for my son. But most of the time, I order the other sandwiches, instead. Not into hamburger.

They have the cleanest washrooms and they smell good too. The crew are generally customer-service oriented. I found the fries soggy when not shaken at least 15 times. Eat a couple slowly, take a bite of sandwich, drink and eat the peanuts while looking around. Then go to the washroom. The required 15 minutes will be over in no time.

I had half-cooked fries and burnt fries and I reported on them. On the half-cooked fries, I received a call but so far, I haven't had anyone call me about my evaluations.

I do quite a few shops at the 3 local 5 guys near where I live, almost always good to very good. Went yesterday and the fries were really good, I mean not the Five Guys standard good, but really good. Long fries with nice caramel to brown color and actual crunch to them. I asked the manager and she said the potatoes were from Idaho vs Washington state, she said the Washington potatoes had a high moisture content and just did not fry up well!

I only do the shops with a bonus, since if I am going to get a burger I get it my way which is $12-14.00.
i do about 10 of these monthly. the burgers are great but they don't pay much. it can add up though if you do several.
And your point is...?

What? Please explain the ceiling tiles comment. I have never seen anything in the guidelines about ceiling tiles. Are you pulling our legs? huh? hahaha.

I just received an email saying I'm eligible to be "certified" for the Five Guys shops. There are always lots of those shops on the job board so is it really worth being "certified?"
I do Five Guys about once or twice a month. The reports are easy and it's a free meal. Love the fries. plmccut, I would imagine it is up to you if it's worth it or not. Do you like Burgers and Fries?

Canuck, were you quoting an older post? The ceiling tile question isn't on current reports.
Yeah. I was.

The ceiling tiles? The shops here have very high ceilings, hahaha! Someone would have to be very tall to fling grease up there.
