Not mine, I am doing one tomorrow for $4 and $5 still.

Normally I wouldn't bother for that but I happen to be going there anyway so it all works out...
You just got one that hadn't gotten assigned yet this month.

I have done them for as much as 15 at the end of the month.

I just went into an Aldi's for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Based on the size of that store and the minimal number of employees, it seems like it wouldn't be that hard. On the other hand, there wasn't a ton of stuff I would buy either. They certainly don't seem to have the same philosophy for their food as their sister store Trader Joe'ssad smiley

No but for basics its fine and they have some really cool products at the Holidays. There is a Ghiradelli Cookie mix (not Christmassy) that is in their stores only in November/December and it is absolutely delicious.

I also buy the trash bags there as I can't stand paying the price of bags now and they are every bit as good/sturdy as Glad and Hefty and they come in right around the reimbursement price. Same for their disinfectant wipes.

I did find a couple of stock up items that were good. It was also surprising what they didn't carry. I looked for heavy cream and they said it was seasonal, huh! Going to TJ's gives me the freedom of not having to read every ingredient on every item since their policy is no trans fats and no high fructose corn syrup. I found a lot of products at Aldi's that have one or both. I definitely will have to be more careful there. Do they carry Method cleaning items? If so, that would be another good stock up item for me.

There is one really close to me now. When I see a shop for it I will definitely give it a trysmiling smiley

I've been a customer of Aldi's since 1991 and they're my primary store. Admittedly, they don't carry an extensive line of food, but it fills my needs.

I began shopping Aldi's in 2005 ONLY because I was already in the store. The pay at that time was a total of $10, but near the end I began charging $30 for a ghetto assignment. I state end because the current MSC blessed me with a termination in 2010.

Pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by ghetto assignment?

No, but they may occasionally carry the equivalent. They rarely have nationally name-branded items, but their store brand is equal or better for many items. I don't go there for organics, because their selection of those items is usually small, and varies, but there's a LOT there we do like. Aldi has saved us a bunch of money over the years! I'm so happy to now get paid for shopping there! smiling smiley

Bet the MSC is trolling for mention of their name or client...

see, you get good results when you voice (in type) something that's wrong.

I haven't been in Aldi's myself, but my neighbor has, and she got a cauliflower
for $1.00 and Broccoli for $1.00 while Walmart was charging $2.50. So now when she goes she gets one for me too!

But I'm hearing good things about that store - so I may go in myself.
I'm told you have to bring your own bags.

zeus, do I have bags...Walmart people put one item in each plastic bag so you have 10 when they would all fit into one paper bag.
A ghetto assignment, refers to an assignment located in a ghetto; in my area, there is one such Aldi's. In 2008, I was threatened with a gun while completing a Church's shop in a ghetto and subsequently tripled my fee to return to that area.
Im totally cracking up at your ghetto assignment reference. I depend on those ghetto assignments to be heavily bonused each month!! I have never had a gun pulled on me, but have seen a few fights at golden arches in the 'hood.

Their store brands are probably more the equivalent of things like Lysol or Pine Sol. Method is too different. It's probably more expensive, but worth every penny to mesmiling smiley

I don't know if bringing bags is a requirement or not. I keep my large collection of reusable bags in the trunk and carry them in with me out of habit. Where the grocery stores and even Target are used to it, the bags still catch them off guard when I go into places like Ulta or Macy's, LOL!

Speaking of Target - they are celebrating Earth day by giving away reusable grocery bags on the 22nd from 8-12. If you get there early you can get ones filled with samples. After they are gone they will give empty ones till gone.

This is the first time I have seen the fees and reimbursement go up. I am psyched cuz I have been doing thees shops for a long time.

Aldi's aluminum foil is a great purchase. It surpasses Reynolds in the "heavy duty" department/
Aldi's is owned by Alfred and Detricets they aren the largest ssuper market chain in Germany and the second largest in Europe. A lot of their merchaside in made in europe and then sent here to be packaged under their name. Alao some items are made by US companies and if you look you can tell which ones. The name of the MSC is in this clue. It is another word for Grocery and the second name is in this may the ----- be with you. Hoe this helps.

They got good bagels and they are local. I shop there even when they are not paying me to shop. It is like finding money in the parking lot.
In the city, many were run down and the lighting was dark. I moved to a suburb and found the stores roomier and brighter so I stop in more often. How can I beat milk for $1.68 a gallon?

Take a look at the Aldi website. They even mention the MSC on AM radio ads in my area.
I have started shopping at Aldi's for a lot of things. I do not buy meat there but the had chicken breasts on sale for $.89 a lb. so I bought those. I get my garbage bags (shops), toilet paper (shops), vegies, eggs, baggies, cheese etc. etc. I went there last week and got $23 worth of food...if I had got that at Grand Union or Pricechopper the total would have been $60.
I also shop at Aldis, but don't go there too often since it is out of the way to go there.
They often have great prices on produce, but you have to check it carefully as it can be bruiseed or moldy. Still, I often stock up on the deals and freeze them.
Staples like milk or eggs are definitely a lot cheaper even than Walmart, and baking staples are decent prices also.
I love the Aldis shops and wish they would pop up more than once a quarter!
After doing 3 Aldi shops last year, I stay away from them. The form is ridiculously long for the fee. I made the mistake of buying their German version of Spam - hubby said it tastes like cat food. :-P

Lisa, shopping at Aldi's takes a little practice. I've learned what to avoid and what's good. Their food has gotten better over the years. For the most part their fresh fruits and veggies are good. Their tomatoes and bananas do require careful inspection because of bruising. Their clementines are awesome. Their pears, watermelon, apples, broccoli (most the time), and all else are pretty good. There are a number of dairy items I like, too.

They used to have certain meats I'd avoid. My kids love their chicken nuggets and they have the stuffed breaded chicken breasts for $1 that's normally $3 each for the brand name. I think Barbar is one brand...or is that the Aldi's brand? It's the broccoli, the Cordon Bleu, and the Kiev. They're awesome when I want a decent meal without all the extra prep work.

Products with chocolate in them...very few do I like. It's usually cheap chocolate. Or immitation chocolate? Is there such a thing? Kinda waxy. Love their sweet potato fries and I rarely buy the sweet potato chips because I can eat a bag in one day if I'm not careful.

So hit or miss. The more you shop, the more you learn. smiling smiley

Okay, I go to Aldi all the time and never even saw the frozen stuffed chicken breast. So because your your post, I looked for them. I had the broccoli stuffed one yesterday......oh wow! The brand on the label says Kirkwood. It was soooo good. I have the Cordon Bleu one cooking in the toaster oven right now. Thanks for the tip!

Speaking of Churches...the 3 locations I do are in bad areas and 9 out of 10 times an altercation takes place because they run out of spicy chicken!I mean the manager is going to call the cops...seriously....lol..

Now, back to Aldi...I like Aldi but the fee is about a gallon of gas to get theresmiling smiley.....

They changed up their form a couple of months ago and it is now super fast to zip through.

I think I am the odd (wo)man out, because I love their chocolate, and often make runs there during work to get my "fix", BUT I won't eat the chicken breasts mentioned above because the calories and fat content are astonomical for their size last time I looked. I love their coffee, and they have a big variety of cheeses that cost a lot $$$ more at my regular grocery stores.

Thanks Liz. I did not know the form have changed. In that case, I will pick up the next available ones in May.
