No notes or cell phone, and you must remember 4 names and times.

Techman, if it is the local grocery store chain I am thinking of and I have shopped before, there are signs posted on the front doors stating, "NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS." This makes it real difficult, I used to take someone with me to help remember times, names, description and opening comment for two of the departments. I also had him use my phone to take any notes I needed.

We shopped all of the departments together, he was more of my "back-up memory" for two of the specific areas and note taker for everything else I wanted to comment on.

I've been doing a lot of new car shops. I always do a one-page printout of the car I'm looking for as if I were really shopping for the new car. Then I make notes on the paper on the price, the engine size, etc. With a pen in my hand I can also jot down things I need for my shop -- such as the agent's description and the features he talks about. When you're in the acting business as we are, you can get away with a lot smiling smiley

Tiny digital voice recorder tucked into my bra. I use it for names, descriptions of representatives, and anything else I need to remember about shopping experiences.
Quilt, I do the same thing. Sometimes I have forgotten to wear a bra for the shop, and I panic. Luckily, on those rare times, I had a purse with me. I put it on the counter with the DVR tucked into it and a tissue hiding the recorder. Once I had on a shirt with a breast pocket, so that did the trick, too.

I suppose I look like I'm talking to myself when I talk into the recorder. Sometimes I cover my mouth so I don't look obvious or crazy.
