Survey/Birthday Info/completing Gold/Silver Offers

Hi Sneakers and others. Thanks for info so far on surveys and Roboform.

Several questions along same line. Any idea how much Roboform costs after 30 day trial???? Do you feel secure with Roboform?

Every survey asks for your date of birth and I know they have to do that to verify that you are 18 or over, and to satisfy demographics, ex. are you looking to travel in your retirement, look into retirement planning etc. Different health insurance etc., so my Question is... can your actual birthdate be tracked by scammers to break into/steal your social security info????

If so, is using your exact birthdate necessary if you make only a few hundred dollars via survey taking in one year?. Exact birthDate needed for 1099 form??? I think a 1099 form is sent if you make $600 or more with one individual marketing center. Still waiting to hear back from my tax preparer.

And lastly, on line survey GIFT CARDS offers are asking you to partipate in Gold/Silver Offers. I followed alot of member panel threads telling newcomers you do not have to certify "Gold or Silver in "Mystery Shopping". Is that the same thing???? Have you had any luck with store gift card rewards via on-line surveys???? Would appreciate as much of your panel members comments as possible.

Roboform is always free. You can upgrade if you want to have more than 10 log ins stored other wise just the basic is fine for filling in forms.
No one who shops and surfs the net has only 10 log-ins, triciacus. I'm up to several hundred, including about 175 just for shopping companies. Check their website for the price, but there's also Billeo, which I've downloaded but haven't tried.

I'll write you privately, Billie.
Firefox is free and you can get extensions/add-ons that do the same thing as Roboform. Just throwing out ideas smiling smiley
Thanks, Amanda, you're very savvy. I have FF, but there are some sites that it doesn't insert for some reason, so I think of one as backing up the other.

Actually, the form-filling is part of FF, even without extensions and add-ons. And it's so much safer than IE.
bfriend:

1--Roboform is $30 after the trial, or WAS when i bought it, Billeo and Firefox are free.

2--Surveys--if you're using reputable survey companies, no need to worry. If a co is sleazy, don't even finish your application.

3--Your birthday can not be used to find your SS #. I was born in 1946, got my SS card in 1967. How would anyone track that? But if you're filling out forms for a shopping co, make sure the URL box is yellow (secure) when you put in sensitive info. The co may be legit, but non-yellow means the page is not encrypted.

4--There's no connection between survey gift cards and MSPA Certification. Apples and elephants. I would watch out for the gift cards, though. I did endless surveys for a perfectly legit co, and the gift card was for only $5. I quit after a while, not worth it.

5--Don't do any survey companies that require you to sign up for offers or subscriptions for other things. They're an endless loop of scamming and spamming. The legit companies are simply survey questions, no strings attached. There's a list here somewhere.
