PayQuicker

Has anyone heard, or used PayChecker to receive payment for jobs done? For the past 4 yrs. I've used Paypal to receive my pay. A few days ago I received an email from Ace Mystery Shopping informing me that I could receive my payment for a job I did if I signed up with PayChecker. I find this a little odd since I've done jobs for Ace in the past with no probem. I did check their website and learned that they work pretty much the same as Paypal. But I'm reluctant to sign up until I know more. Why must I sign up with them if I already have Paypal? Any info would be appreciated, thanks

There has been a lot of discussion on PayQuicker here on the forum. Use the "Search" function and select "all dates" and search for "PayQuicker" and you will find a lot of discussion. Also a search for "ACE" will probably bring up more. We have talked this subject to death and I'm sure you will find all the information and opinions that you want in your search.

I am signed up with ACE and I love them, but I have not performed an ACE assignment since September 2011 when they began payment exclusively with PayQuicker. I do not choose to create an account with PayQuicker at this time, so I am not able to perform shops for ACE since they have no alternate form of payment. Amusement Advantage also uses PayQuicker but they also offer direct deposit. To my knowledge, these are the only 2 MSCs currently using PayQuicker.
I agree with AustinMom...do the search on this forum, probably searching for the past year since it has just been over a year since ACE switched over. I am still registered with them but I have not performed any shops for them. I had trouble getting paid for my August 2011 shops due to the transition to PayQuicker.

I have only done one shop since this transition and I admit I haven't had any problems...am doing another shop for them in the near future.
PayQuicker is an option with Clear Evaluations, but I still ask for checks in the mail.

They also charge you to withdraw your money. I have to pay .50 to transfer it to the bank. CE will reimburse you if you get a debit card and have the funds transferred to the card. CE says it is a lot less of a hassel than PP.
Yikes, I thought Clear used PayPal before. Have they dropped them completely? Waiting for check isn't all that appealing, but PayQuicker is less so.

My problem is that Ace acknowledged that I am due $15.00, but they also said in the email that unless I sign up with PayQuicker I won't get my monery. So do I trust PayQuicker to pay me? Until I got the email, I had never heard of them, and I've done quite a few shops for Ace in the past.

You'll need to clarify who "they" is who charges you for withdrawing money. ACE doesn't if you transfer the money to your bank account. They eat the cost, which is $1 per transaction. If you've transferred money incorrectly, you might be able to contact ACE and/or PayQuicker and get the fee reimbursed. If you mean CE, then I have no idea about their procedures.

I have been getting PayQuicker payments from ACE as an editor and shopper (almost always twice a month) since August 2011 when they switched to PayQuicker. Once the payment took three business days to receive. When I was going to contact PayQuicker to find out the delay, it was in my account that morning. Otherwise, I've never had any issues. I don't have a debit card, though, because there's a $5 fee attached to getting one issued and I don't want it that badly.

Of course some will say that my experience isn't valid since I'm an editor for the company. I guess they think I'm going to come on here and lie for whatever stupid reasoning that is. If I had truly had issues, the worst I would do is shut up and not post, which would be hard with my big mouth. I'd probably have to voice my opinions as I did when I wasn't originally happy about the switch but knew I had to accept the change since my editing livelihood was dependent on it. Twenty-some-odd payments later and I have no issues. I actually prefer PayQuicker and have chosen it over PayPal or check when given the choice.

Do what you will with my opinion. Just don't @#$%& at me for having one. I'm entitled.

redrose, if you do not want to sign up with PayQuicker, contact Jamie Giles with ACE. She can get you paid with a one-time check. If you want to continue to work for ACE, I'm guessing you will need a PayQuicker account, but ACE has been very understanding of shoppers who perform shops not realizing that they will be required to open a PayQuicker account to get their money. Several shoppers have reported that Jamie Giles has been willing and able to pay them on a one-time basis by check. To my knowledge, ACE has not denied payment to any shopper who performed an acceptable shop for them. Here's a link to the report made by minnie about 4 months ago:

If y
Jamie is the main scheduler. Her email is Jamie@acemysteryshopping.com but you might be better off contacting Tiffany, who is one of the owners and the head of the accounting department. That's who Jamie would have to go through to get payment approved. Tiffany's email for payroll is accounting@acemysteryshopping.com.

Edited to add: You can try but I don't know if they offer a single payment via check or not. They did in the beginning but once the ICAs were updated and PayQuicker had been in place for some time, I'm not sure if they've allowed for a different payment type.

Also, they're away on business until next week so I would not expect an immediate response to any inquiries.

I've posted before, but will here again. PayQuicker through ACE does NOT charge you a fee to transfer money to you checking account, and it happened very quickly (a day or two, I forget exactly.)

If you did get charged a fee, it's possible something went wrong, and contact ACE and/or PayQuicker, but there should not be a fee. They held my money for 2 days tops, and I got it in my checking account. I really don't see a problem with that. I umpire baseball and referee football, and I get paid through two other "clearinghouses" or whatever you want to call them, similar to PayPal and PayQuicker and those are also safe. All these options appear to be just fine, as they are all regulated to at least some degree.
redrose....that's what happened to me and honestly I'm ok with payquicker...was resistant but it worked out for me.
Good morning,

I just did 3 assignments for a MSC and they paid through PayQuicker. The company said you could transfer the funds to your personal banking or PayPal with no cost. NOT True! They charged me and the funds have still not been deposited into my account from PayQuicker. I called and got the run-around. Still working on receiving my payments. I am considerably new to MS and this is the first issue that I have had with not getting payed so far. I, too, prefer PayPal or depositing into my personal account.

Savana, I'm not sure what company it was with but if you transferred money to your bank account for ACE, then you aren't charged a fee. If you tried to transfer the money another way or get a check, then there will be a fee that's not covered. The email ACE sends out explains step by step how to receive your payment without any fees. If you don't follow it or try to take the money out other than a transfer to your bank, then you get charged a fee. ACE and PayQuicker will work with you to get it corrected. Other companies, I don't know but I do know they've worked with a number of people to get the fees reimbursed.
I have had two good experiences with PayQuicker. It only makes sense if they mail you a paper check for someone to pay the fee for the paper, ink and postage.

They send an email from PayQuicker when there is a deposit and you can empty the account the same day to your own personal account, no fee as long as you do it all online.

Hope that helps.

CE just asked if I wanted a payment by check or PayQuicker. Luckily they also sent along some information. I say luckily, because the PQ site was down, preventing me from checking on the current fee structure. With both CE and Amusement Advantage, the fee to transfer to a bank account is NOT covered. Now the site is back up and I can see they also still have that nasty little "account inactive" fee as well.

I so appreciate CE still issuing paper checkssmiling smiley

I was very hesitant to begin using PayQuicker, but I've received payments there twice and transferred them to my bank account without issue.
Leslie at CE has been great. She did tell me they have a PQ rep to work with shoppers and shoppers are not being charged the inactive fee. Either way, I appreciate her attitude and understanding. It is still such a rare thing, I don't want to be bothered. I will definitely revisit PQ when it becomes more widely used.

With Amusement Advantage, I'd rather just wait a little longer and take the PayPal option. Between PayQuicker and the EIN thing (neither of which I'm interested in doing), I'm concerned that I will eventually have to start crossing more and more companies off my "active" list.
I was told I could use paypal if I wanted - that being by ACE.
Are you saying ACE is paying by PayPal in addition to PayQuicker?

ACE is now willing to pay by PayPal? It caused quite a stir when they began to pay only by PayQuicker with no alternate method of payment. If they are now willing to pay by PayPal, they may increase the number of shoppers who work with them.
Per ACE's website, they only pay by PQ. There is an option other than linking PQ to your bank account and that is linking it to PayPal. The same $1 charge applies and ACE will pay for one transfer a month. The caveat on their site is PayPal MAY have an additional charge for receiving the money and that is not covered.

Okay, that's pretty much what it has been. txmedia, PayQuicker and PayPal are two different things. It appears that you were told you could be paid by PayQuicker, not PayPal. Be sure to research PayQuicker.
Payquicker has worked fine for me s/ ACE. I am all in favor of competition in biz. Paypal had to start from scratch too.
