It will probably still cost more at Sam's because you have to pay sales tax.

Last I checked you need to pay a membership fee and you have to pay tax.
Plus their website shows it for 99 not 69
However, they do have Nikon's entry level model for 69 which is inferior to this higher end one.

Is that Nikon coolpix the one that you can freeze and drop and nothing will happen to it? I want one of those.
I do many gas station audits and need a camera with a time/date stamp. Who can help?

Thanks.
Ggoin. That seems to be the big question. Many have to use an app because the info is there in the EXIF file, but doesn't show up on the pictures with most new cameras.

Time/Date stamp is an option you have to turn on in digital cameras. Just have to find where it is buried in the settings menu, but it is there.

Mine is on and will show up on the camera, but when I transfer to the computer you don't see it without another app. I have talked to multiple people and have been told it is unlikely to find it as printable with most new cameras.

My friend received one of the nikon point and shoots and it shows up on her camera no issue and on the actual photo on the computer without an issue.

Can't speak for the other brands, but it works on the nikon's.

I contacted my MSP about my time/date situation. I received a reply telling me about "Batch photo". I downloaded and tried the trial software. It's perfect for my use in shopping needed pictures with time/date stamps!

Do you really need an extra camera if you have a smart phone? I use my phone for most stuff and my ipod touch when I need something close up. Admitedly I have a Sony that hates me and will only download for my husband, but I haven't felt the need for a real camera since I started back up seriously in 2010.
I have a Fuji finepix and no time stamp.

I also have an expensive Canon and no time stamp.

Fortunately, I'm not required to have the date/time on my pictures when I do certain audits. smiling smiley
I bought the Cool Pix and returned it. I did not like the camera.

I have two old Olympus cameras and an older Kodak Easy Share and they are great!

I have had the Olympus since the year 2000 and have taken 1,000's of pictures. That camera is still doing a great job!

Although people comment on how "old" that camera is.......I just say, "When it dies, I will give it a good burial"smiling smiley
I have a Nikon Coolpix (from Costco) and it works just fine for me. I even learned how to take pics of a parking entry ticket while sitting in the front seat of my car in late afternoon gloom. It sure beats my old bulky Nikon that I was using for a while and felt like everyone in the restaurant was wondering what I was doing. I don't have a cell with a camera but then I don't do shops often where I need pics.
Amazon will charge tax if you live in certain states and pretty soon they will probably charge tax for everyone so do your shopping early before the tax man comes knocking on online retailers.
Nikon is an excellent brand. I own higher up models though like DSLRs and haven't owned a pocket sized digital camera in years. I would, if you can, go into a camera shop and try out a series of cameras.. play around with the settings (FIND THE TIMESTAMP FEATURE!). Whatever is clearest, easiest to use, buy that one. Some of the latest smartphone cameras are pretty equal to the digital ones on the market and you can find apps e.g. Camera 360 that have the time stamp option.

You can go for online deals available in the market to take it in the best price with comparison to other online portals.
The Nikon CoolPixAW100 is amazing - and it is the model you can freeze, take underwater, drop repeatedly, take in to high altitudes, toss out a car window - and nothing bad happens to it. It takes AMAZING pics as well, although I don't use it for MSing. For that I just use my smartphone camera - it just looks like I'm texting the fam or something lol!
