Coyle Hotel shops

I have one coming up in May. Do any of you ever try to schedule other shops along with it? I'll be in a "new" city (about 60 miles away from where I am currently). It's a 2 night stay. Will I even have time for much else?

I forgot to talk about my weird dream!

Last night I had a dream that I was doing a hotel shop for Coyle, and I was nearly ready to check out. Then I remembered I had to do a bunch more stuff! Then another mystery shopper from this forum walked up and said I could go with them around the hotel to finish getting my info. Lol
Was crazy...

Then, I wake up and a few hours later I'm assigned the hotel shop! Haha

If it's your first hotel shop with Coyle, do NOT take another assignment while you're on this one. You need to get a great score in order to do more hotel shops for them.

After completing two hotel shops in the last couple of weeks. I would not suggest doing anything else during an evaluation. Plan for your evaluation to be along the lines of 20 pages (12pt, no double spacing). After all the heart ache of trying to get the shop in and the inconsistencies with the instructions, it wasn't worth the hassle. Some people may say its worth the free night stay, but if you are locked in your room trying to complete a bunch of random tasks crammed in a short time period you will find it exhausting! Good luck and hopefully you get a decent editor.

Make sure you get descriptions of everyone you put in your report. Even the bellman who was helping someone else but you happen to see in the corner of your eye lol! I often wish I could just put a video camera on my glasses.

I just scheduled my first Coyle hotel shop too. I'm doing mine next week.

Instructions usually come out within a week before. You never know, one of my instructions was delivered only a few days before the evaluation. Overall the two nights are better than one cause you have time to get things done.

Reports equivlant to 20 pages single spaced??? And barely time to even leave the hotel let alone spend 1-3 hours doing another quick shop?

If they don't pay a good fee (and it sounds like they don't), I don't understand why anyone would do it.

Sounds like torture to me.

I just received my instructions. I have a couple of other shops scheduled for the drive there and back, but I haven't scheduled anything for while I'm there.

I received an email from Coyle this morning with the wrong instructions. I read through them and I was a little intimidated by all of the evaluations required. However, they sent the correct instructions which have several fewer requirements and seem more reasonable. I plan on spending a few hours outside of the hotel visiting with a friend who lives nearby too.
