Bare shipping
Send it anything that will accommodate your item in the package. Box, envelope, tube...whatever. I do a lot of bubble wrap envelopes personally.
Added: I do the bubble wrap envelopes alot, but so does my mailing buddy. Which is why I do lots of bubble wrap envelopes, I send her, her package back minus the stickers. When I send them to myself, I have a small 6x6 box full of beans.
My scheduler when I first started told me it didn't matter, but she no longer works there. So interested on the answer.

I had something I needed to mail last week that was in an envelope and I wanted to just use the envelope but I read the word "box" as opposed to a generic "package" in several places in the instructions so I found a box and used the box (with the envelope stuffed inside it).
So my interpretation is box means box. I think the weight will force it out of any First Class flat or parcel option into Priority, but there might be a concern that a helpful employee (as opposed to one doing their job) might suggest stuffing it into a flat rate envelope or box to save money. If it's already in a box they would be less likely to suggest that.
So unless your scheduler says an envelope is fine, find a box.

And since secretagentmom beat me to the punch with an alternative take, I'll check with my scheduler next time and ask because using an envelope would save me a lot of hassle with these.

I am so done with these! By the time I bought my recipient the can of soup he wanted, and paid the upcharge to a further away zone, I think I made like $4 on the shop!
I think there are three of us that have sent the scheduler an email to ask, hopefully one of us gets an answer. I have not yet. I guess for the shipping one I dont really look at it as a money maker, just knew there is always stuff I need to mail. Mine too will be a further zone, but hey, it get's the first 6.85 paid for in shipping so I am good with that.

I asked my scheduler about using an envelope for A shipping and was told it needs to be an unmarked box.
If it's B shipping then, whatever, box or envelope, as long as it's a Ready Post product. I've used both. I asked the Postal Clerk once when doing my regular business about the Ready Post tubes, did they fall into the over size measured category, and she said no. I hope, cause next time B's are bonused I'm mailing the programmable automated sign to my son for his business.
I have a scale, left over from eBay days, and measure my items to make sure they don't go over, or at least to far over, the reimbursed amount. I'm usually just sending surprise packages to my kids out of state so I can wait till they are bonused.
If not, I look at it like the rest of my MSing, better to have some one else pay for it and make a few bucks, than to pay for it myself and make none.

I love these shops. I am always mailing ebay items and things to my kids. Three yesterday with bonuses made me a very happy camper. But then again I am always mailing packages.

Someone sent me a package doing that same thing and the post office made me pay the difference in shipping, before they would give me the package. Luckily, I let the shipper know this and they paid me back for I had to pay the post office (it was an item I bought on ebay). I think the post office is cracking down on this.

Yes that is totally against the policies of the post office. I had someone send me something in one of the boxes turned over and even brown kraft wrapped and it was caught and I had to pay the difference. The Ebayer was really ticked (at me) but it is against the policy. They told me at the post office that you should not even use one of the boxes a second time or for anything else. That seems wasteful but it is their policy.

Cettie, most of those boxes I've seen have the words Priority Mail stenciled on the insides of the package. Don't yours?

I thought of doing that once too, but mine also had printing on the inside. Lots of places to find a plain box, Dollare Tree, Dollar General, 99c Only, plus the regular places. The cost of a box is reimbursed up to a certain amount with a receipt (which has been discussed on all the other threads on this same topic).
Haven't tried it, but possibly an empty cereal box covered in a plain brown bag or paper?

I obtain my boxes from the grocery store for A. The boxes they off load the yogurt are perfect, not too big, not too small.

Other sellers. The Post Office put out a note that if the package looked like one of their boxes inside out to open the item. Then if it was used that way the customer had to pay the remaining shipping. What makes me made if they already gotten paid full price and someone opens to recycle it then if they find that one they charge the people too.
