I'm glad I'm a fast learner and refuse to settle for less than I'm worth. My first month, I did a few shops for "pennies" pretty much. I realized that the headache wasn't worth what I was being paid. Some people never wise up about it either. If they would wise up; they wouldn't schedule their shops on the first day the shops are posted.
I have a few general rules;
1. I will not take a shop that is reimbursement only; unless I already was planning on going there- This one is pretty self-explanatory. For example, a famous chicken shop was on the board in April; It was a compensation shop (with a $5 bonus); however, I was already planning on going there to watch a wrestling pay-per-view. So I got to enjoy my pay-per-view, which would have cost me $69.95 had I ordered it on pay-per-view, for free after I was reimbursed.
2. I never schedule shops the first day they are on the board; unless... they are worth at least $10.00 an hour after gasoline costs.
3. I usually ignore schedulers who send the same message 4-5 times in 10 minutes for shops that pay next to nothing- Simple; if you're begging me to take a shop, at least throw a bonus on there to make it worth my time; otherwise, you're wasting my time (and yours) to send it to me.
4. If I go out of my area to complete a shop, I expect my fuel to be paid for, plus $10 an hour for driving time at least- Gas is expensive and so is my time.
5. Finally, if you're a scheduler who bends over backwards for me as a shopper; I will do my best to help you fill shops near the deadline- even if I can't do it; I'll do my best to help you find a shopper who will help you in crunch time.
I may be a newer Mystery Shopper (March of 2013), but I do believe I am a very fast learner.

Arguing with fools is like playing chess with a pigeon...
...No matter how good you are, the pigeon will s@^t on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
Not scheduling for ANY company.
