Upgrade my jobslinger account???

I get messages asking to upgrade my account with jobslinger to supposedly get "ALL" of the mystery shops listed.
Has anyone upgraded and is it worth the expence??

I assume you're talking about "Jobslinger Plus."

I think I had a free 30 day thing that was supposed to text me if any of the sassie companies posted a job and had a few other benefits. I got exactly one text; it woke me at 6:30 in the morning. I did not pay to sign up when the trial ended. Sassie isn't everything. Most of my MSC's are on other platforms and by this point I've got them calling me on the phone for stuff in my area which gives me a chance to negotiate on the spot.

So for me, after the free trial was over, I decided it was not worth the expense to continue.

Thank you, this is what I thought, but it never hurts to check.
I have never been to much of a fan of jobslinger but where I live jobs are hard to find.
Find your jobs by signing up with the companies, getting on their mailing list, and then search their boards yourself. Jobslinger only shows you the Sassie-based shops (if I remember right). It was a great tool for finding shops when I first started out, that and the MSPA job board, but everything else I've signed up with I did after reading about it here in the forum.

I have Jobslinger Plus and I like it and had to pay for it, of course. sad smiley But, I've got a few jobs from it and I sign in a few times a day. You never know. smiling smiley

That's where I found Superior Product Pickup. smiling smiley smiling smiley
IF you get a couple jobs you wouldn't otherwise have known about, then it would be worth it. I feel that way about the MSPA silver certification I paid the $15 for. I know I've been shown jobs I wouldn't have otherwise seen because of it.

I think I'll go back and refresh my memory on what Jobslinger Plus is supposed to do for you. I remember debating about it but at the time I had to make the decision I'd only done 8 shops and couldn't justify the cost. I didn't start making money until I came here and found out it was acceptable to ask for more money than what was posted! I don't think I'd still be shopping if not for that. Nearly everything I do any more is on a route with bonus money, and a lot of what I do locally is bonused too.

Usually the jobs are already gone by the time Jobslinger post them. I plan on opting out next time.
Hi, this is Mary from JobSlinger. Just to correct a misunderstanding: unlike some other services, we DON'T support "pay to shop" or asking you to pay to access job listings that you can't see for free. Every job that can be accessed in JobSlinger Plus, can also be seen in JobSlinger OR by signing on to your SASSIE accounts. Instead, JobSlinger Plus gives you power tools that let you see all your shops in one place and get notifications for them. Specifically:

- With JobSlinger Plus, jobs that are posted to SASSIE job boards but NOT posted to JobSlinger can be seen in a JobSlinger Plus search. If you don't have JobSlinger Plus, you'd have to log into each individual SASSIE account and search that company's job board in order to see them.

- JobSlinger Plus gives you MEGALOG, which combines all your SASSIE shop logs into one - available in a list form OR a calendar form.

- JobSlinger Plus sends you shop offers via email and text that match your specific criteria (your Targets). This differs from SASSIE shop offers because it shows you ALL matching shops (even if the scheduler didn't email them), and it shows you ONLY the shops that match your search settings. JobSlinger (non-Plus) does not send email or text notices in this way.

Hope this helps, and happy Fourth!
Thanks, Mary. At the time I made the decision not to continue with Jobslinger Plus I only had a few Sassie companies on my list. Currently I have 20 of them, so I may look into Jobslinger Plus again to save time searching. It was worthwhile back then, but back then I didn't expect to have 64 MSC's on my list (and growing), a third of which are Sassies.

Just found another benefit to my silver certification. It got me 18 months on Jobslinger Plus for the price of a year's subscription.

I've discovered that the JobSlinger Plus account has an 'express signup' option when signing up with Sassie based MSC's. It does make the initial sign up process with MSC's that use Sassie very quick and easy.

Also, if you ever need to update your MSC accounts with a new telephone number, or whatever, you only need to update your JobSlinger account and then select the 'sync Sassie accounts' option, JobSlinger will then update all of your Sassie MSC accounts with one click of the mouse.
I may look into the JobSlinger Plus again. My free trial of the Plus membership expired in 2010, and since then I've occasionally logged in to see what's posted there.

According to the website, the jobs posted with gold stars are "Guaranteed Available". That's mainly what I look for when clicking through to see more info.
I renewed for a year but I'm a bit disgusted because I thought it would feed me ALL sassie shops and it doesn't, so I'm still having to check the individual boards. But I signed up for a couple more companies so hopefully at least that will pay off down the road.
