Gas station certification test - Need help!

I'm stuck! I watched the training and can't pass the test. Am I allowed to say the name of the gas station (colors are blue and red)? I think these are the ones I'm having a problem with:

Which of the following is considered an unacceptable attire item to wear during your facility inspection?
a. Reasonable length skirt
b. Khakis
c. Jeans

Which of the following best represents all areas you will check for the presence of vehicle lubricant displays for consumers?
a. Forecourt, backcourt, & any vehicle service or lube bay areas that may be present
b. Pay points, pump islands, & any vehicle service or lube bay areas that may be present
c. Backcourt, pumps (mounted on a rack above the pump), & any vehicle service or lube bay areas that may be present

Which of the following choices best represents all areas you will check for the presence of P.O.P. signage in the forecourt?
a. Pay points, building, perimeter poles, & canopy columns
b. Building, perimeter poles, canopy columns, & pump toppers
c. Pump toppers, pay points, canopy columns, & perimeter poles
d. Pump toppers, building, ID price sign, & canopy columns

I have yet to see any announced audit, for any MSC or any brand, that says jeans are acceptable.

Okay, it will always be jeans that are forbidden, both for the shopper and the employees.

For the others, you need to know what the different areas ARE,then the answers become obvious because you can rule out things.

PICTURE the gas station.

What is a pay point? The pay point is where you swipe your card to pay at the pump. (Also where you swipe it inside to pay inside.) Do you think there's a way to hang a rack of oil cans on a card reader? Do you think there's a way to hang the POP from a card reader? Go look at a picture of a card reader. Mostly they have instructions on them.

So for both of the other two questions, eliminate anything that talks about pay points.

For the third question, you will be left with two choices, which have three things in common. One of the things mentioned in one of the answers is NOT allowed to have POP on it. Figure out what that is, and you'll have the answer to the third question.

For the second question PICTURE each of those areas and try to think if it would make sense to have oil there.

That was the one I was getting wrong! So obvious but I guess I wasn't thinking. Thanks Lisa! smiling smiley
whatever you do, dont take them for the starting fee of 4 or 6...wait til they increase...

which without giving away their exact formula...is about once every 5 days...until
someone does them

= + = + = + = + = + = + = + = + = + = + = +

Thanks for the advice! I booked one for today for $18.58. I haven't done the report yet so I'm crossing my fingers that I got all of my pictures. I have another scheduled for tomorrow for $17.44 smiling smiley I'm holding off scheduling more to see how high they'll go.
They'll probably move next week. I'm waiting for one to move off $18.18 and get in the $20 range.

Hi and I hope I can help.

1. Khakis

2. A

3. C

All these answers are in the Shoppers Guide.
A paypoint is the cash register area where POP messages are required to be posted. Including pay mats, and register toppers.

It's funny they don't mention Pump sides too.

Wrong. Question 1 asks what is "unacceptable" and Question 3 is probably B. It has been a long time since I've taken the test.

Jeans have never been acceptable for any revealed audit, khakis are fine as part of the business casual look.

Yup, you're right! smiling smiley
Make it easy on yourself. After reviewing the video or photo/text, leave that screen open. Then, click on the 'Test' link. Now, you'll have both screens open. If you get stuck or want to clarify the question/answer's, go from one screen to another.
