Market Force, etc., Retail reveal audits

Market Force has a reveal audit at {oops, ICA violation, let's just say major discount department store}. Have any of you done these or know any information about these types of audits?

I attempted a pricing audit at a Walgreen's once. Awful experience! Really difficult as I could not even find the majority of the products listed. Because of this, I am a mite gun shy of any type of retail audit.

Please inform me.

I have been in Customer Service/Administrative work for over 40 years. I really enjoy Mystery Shopping. Been completing shops for over a year now.

Thanks!

If it's the one I'm guessing, I've done several with no problems where an associate goes around with you with a scanner. Unfortunately, both of the two closest stores to my home have closed over the past several months. So I'm not up on any of the newest requirements. They were easy and straightforward; just took about an hour or so with you on your feet the entire time.
I did one and have another in mid-August. I found it easy because the employee & I sat down in the office for about 15 minutes and we reworked the list into the order the departments were in the store, rather than as they were printed. Saved a lot of walking and had the job done in about an hour.

The one that you walk around with a scanner, as cvb says, is worth it to me. ONLY for $25+. I'm insulted lately by Market Force's playing with fees and pretending that they are going up. I've seen these shops now at $10 and they used to be $33!

So anyway, you shouldn't do them for less than $25. Expect them to take one hour to one and half hours, depending on how efficient the person is that you walk the store with.
Also watch out for the managers, I do one store here where he thinks he is clever and whispers to his staff to run ahead of us and correct signs and price tags etc. He doesn't fool me though, but he's the only one I've ever caught doing deceptive things.
Otherwise I love getting paid $25 for what takes me all told about 1 1/2 hrs. smiling smiley
Would like to know of another co. besides Market Force that pays for mystery shops to do shops at restaurants.
Use the search function for either restaurants, fast food or even fast casual and choose "all dates." That should bring up a lot of threads. Some will be about specific restaurants and will not include the name of the specific MSC while others will discuss companies in general. You should be able to wade through that and get a lot of names since many mystery shopping companies have a food client or two.

See the list below, the blue link at the bottom of the page, Official List of Mystery Shopping Companies. Many of them have restaurant shops, including fast food, casual, and fine dining. Which company shops particular clients in many cases depends on your location. Sign up with at least 50 to get a good variety of available shops.
