Post office receipt?

Just finished up a post office shop that was in a grocery store. The cashier asked if I needed a receipt. I said yes and she gives me a handwritten one. Yikes! So needless to say, there is no weight on the receipt. Has this happened to anyone else?

How is it a handwritten one? Did the clerk say the machines were down or broken? How was they able to weight your package? Was it a real PO?

Weight is missing, what about everything else?

Can you reschedule for tomorrow, when the machine might be up and running?

Ouch!

I can't say it has happened to me. I wonder how you could track it or make an insurance claim?

Happily shopping Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut
Put all the details in the report. Don't leave anything out about the receipt transaction. This should help it be accepted. But I am not sure, I have never had this happen.
I had a "B" scenario shop today. Didn't notice until I was doing the report that the clerk did not charge me for the box. She asked if I needed to pay for the box, I said yes, she scanned it, but it didn't show up on the receipt.

I used the shop to fulfill a customer order for multiple copies of my cookbook, so was a win-win.

When weird stuff happens on the post office shops, I email the scheduler immediately. I've never had a problem.

There is a question about whether you paid for the box, so I think you're covered.

She did give me a tracking sticker with a number. She didn't say anything about machines being down. I thought if I asked for a register receipt it would mark me as a shopper so I didn't.
It has been two days since you first posted-------->have you turned in your report yet? Did you report exactly what happened in the PO? Has your scheduler gotten back to you? What proof to you have for visiting the "right" PO? What mail class did the clerk charge you for? I am going to assume it was a Regular box shop------->how does you scheduler know if you were within the 18 oz limit? Did the clerk write her ID on the receipt?

Was this your first PO shop? If it was then .......no harm, no foul. We learn from our mistakes. smiling smileysmiling smiley

How did you fill in those blanks on the survey? I mean weight was not the only question that one needs the receipt for.

I am surprise she would conclude by selecting to write a receipt when she has a register right there. >>>>>>I thought if I asked for a register receipt it would mark me as a shopper so I didn't. <<<<<<<<
