To type a whole paragraph and see 50 red squiggles is disheartening. It is really hard to explain how the brain jumbles things up sometimes. Typing makes things somewhat easier. When I write in longhand, I have to think about which way letters go. I can read backwards, also write backwards, so the letters s, c, e, d , b, p & q make sense to me either way. Numbers are a huge problem, they look right either way. If I have a large serial number with both letters and numbers, I have to break it down into 3 symbols at a time. If I'm tired, I can't to it correctly. So it's check, check, proofread, check again.
Wouldn't you know, here I have this ability, and they no longer set type by hand for printing! I would have been a natural.
