Five Guys - I think they know I'm their shopper

I'm so disappointed, I've thought I have been so covert about being their shopper. The company no longer allows me to shop that location. Bummer, it's right around the corner from my house. Has anyone else got fired from their Five Guys?

That MSC uses a kinda complicated system that will sometimes freeze you off a location for a short while... not because you've been identified, but because they need reports from other shoppers as well. They probably aggregate the data as well.

I got frozen from their drive-in client for six months, last year.

One of the locations near my work. The rest were still available.

You got the full freeze?? All locations?

If I wanted to shop them 50 miles away, I could accept.....nothing local....

I had hog-shopped them in the city, over and over. I was banned from those because my middle name became "5" smiling smiley

Me.

I did a 5 Guys a few months ago, and the server said "no charge for the drink today". I put that in the report, and paid, but that particular location doesn't show up for me anymore...I guess 'fired'
I got fired from 3 locations closest to me . . . if I'm across town, I can still pick one up.
Me too, the close one is 1 mile away. The other store I can shop is 15 miles, oh well.........
I did a bunch of shops for that MSC for a different FF place. Then one month they didn't show up. It worked out, because I had decided I should hold off and wait for the rate to go up before accepting any more. I waited most of the month and they didn't show up, so I figured I had overshopped the place. Then I get a phone call offering me double to do it again so I accepted. The other shops reappeared on the job board and a week later I got another bonused offer for the other location. They must have some overcomplicated algorithm for deciding where and when shoppers can do what locations.

Could I have a receipt please?
I remember asking a scheduler who had called me, "Hey, do you have any 5 Guys?" She said, "Sure. There are plenty in your city. Do you want the one on XYZ street?" I said, "Sure!"

She said, "Okay, hold on." Then she said, "Hrmmm...it's not letting me schedule you any in your area, I wonder why?" I told her I had not seen any 5 Guys on my job site for some time. She said she did not know why and she would look into it. I told her not to bother. because they put me a "break" because I had shopped each store a gazllion times! She said to just keep an eye out and eventually you will see somesmiling smiley And eventually I did! smiling smiley
I was locked out for one year, at my local 5 Guys. After that, it appeared again.
I KNOW they are looking at security tapes or get pics from someone. After my second shop there the manager practically falls over herself trying to be nice to me. This has happened 3 - 4 times. Way over the top.
I am going back to a 5 Guys in a mall where there is no entrance at the food court and you have to walk half the mall to get to it. (This is intentionally done, as they built a new food court and there are emergency exit doors only)

I swore I'd not go there again, but the phone just rang at $14 and I hung up at $20.

Now I need to see if I can find that Gadiva Chocolate job I saw somewhere for desert winking smiley

I shop 5 guys a lot I think it is a lot twice a month and they usually call me and offer extra $$. I am not sure if they don't have many people where I live or not. The staff does know me but sometimes I go with my family or a friend. They do seem to know me as a regular but not a shopper. To me the biggest giveaway is the pausing when ordering, if they know you why would you not have your order all ready. The new phone order is odd too as they want you to spend too much time in the store.
I think I got made as a shopper on my last shop. I took myself off those shops, just to be sure, for a while. No matter how covert we are, I think if they see someone holding their cell phone and pushing a button when we get called to the counter, then making their way to the bathroom they are gonna figure it out eventually.
I am a new shopper and have shopped a couple different locations in rapid and thought it odd, that I just received an email that I now "qualify" to become certified for and get preferance for these shops. I would think that giving preferance to repeat shoppers would cause just the kind of overshopping situation that is causing lockouts and that they would give preferance to folks who HAVEN'T shopped them in a while. At least one of the locations I shopped for dinner is still listed for the lunchtime shop, but it is very close to my mom's house and I don't want to get locked out. How soon do you all feel is "too soon" to return to the same location?
I don't think there is a too soon. People frequent their favorite fast-casual restaurants pretty often if they're convenient to work, home, or school.

I do Panera twice a week for lunch, shop or not. I see people in there all the time who were there the last time I was there, and plenty of previous times.

Having a stopwatch app on a cell phone running, or even worse a flip phone OPENED UP, is going to draw too much attention to yourself. I bought a cheap watch from Wallmart for $12 that has a small digital stopwatch inlayed with regualr hands and a second hand as the main top of the watch. tapping the button on the side of it is much less obvious than playing with a phone. I don't even have to look at it when I tap the stop button.
I have been frozen from lotsa fries and hedgehog for about 6 months now. I just figured someone had spotted me or I did too many shops and was out of the rotation. Now I am eating chicken instead of beef so I guess it is a healthier option but I miss those fries.

I know, right? I go into a new 5 Guys and seems like they are falling over themselves..... Do you think they share our picture from the videotape with all the other stores? smiling smiley
One time I was in a 5 Guys with my daughter. She told me that they knew I was the shopper because they were so much nicer to me than the other customers- gosh I just thought I was a really nice person.
