Editors

I am appalled at the rudeness and the harshness of the editors of surveys for a food co-op. The surveys are extremely long and redundant. How many different ways can you say the the displays look fresh and appealing? The editors use terminology like, "you have been told this before." and "you must buy a FULL bag of groceries in order to evaluate the bagging." I don't know where the editor lives, but I can tell you that for the $25.00 that you are reimbursed for groceries, this might buy you 3 items which would not fill up a bag.

I love the schedulers for this client, but the editors live in some other universe. I won't be doing any of these for a while and neither will my friends who also shop for this client.

Hi, just a note on the reimbursement.

If this is the shop I am thinking of, the reimbursement is very generous compared to others... Some grocery shops do not even reimburse at all, it's a paltry flat fee of $10-$14 and requires expensive deli, bakery or seafood purchases. Or requires a large bottom-of-the-basket item like cases of water or large bags of dog food (think expensive!)

Anyway, if this is the shop I am thinking of, I use these to stock up on canned goods. The store brands are, if I recall correctly, anywhere from .59-.84 apiece, for anything from canned vegetables, canned beans, and tomato paste.

I purchase a good amount of canned items to fill up bags, but they don't come to more than $5-$8... The rest I use for soft purchases, dairy, a fresh meat, etc... to evaluate proper bagging.

Plan the work. Work the plan.
I had one grocery store that reimbursed you $3 and you HAD to get the bagger's name, cashier's name, employee's name who walked you to the item. You also had to visit multiple departments and give full descriptions of those who were NOT in uniform. The fee was $10 bucks.

Then, I had the famous $5 grocery reimbursement shop, that paid a $4.00 fee to shop it smiling smiley
We still have the $5 grocery reimbursement shop that pays a $4 shop fee around here and they are snapped up - seriously! I usually wait until someone flakes and do it for $10 shop fee + reimbursement, but I'm familiar enough with the shops that they are pretty easy to do and I like the produce.

My favorite grocery shop pays only $5 shop fee but reimburses $30 in groceries. I do as many of those as I can get.
Around here, there are 2 grocery chains I shop. One is $18 ($10 re, $8 fee, occasionally bonused, but not often) and one for $9 ($5 re, $4 fee, never bonused) and I snap them up ASAP. Other than the deli requirement, sometimes there is a meat OR seafood OR bakery purchase (only one at a tiime.) There is always room for me to spend the $10. I have no requirement from the company to fill a bag.

I view the grocery shops like they are a giant coupon! Love them.

I do this for the $3 reimbursement shop/audit because the cashier has to ask if you want to buy a bag and who wants to do that for just one item. My mom is enjoying the sugar free chocolate pudding cups I have been bringing her from those they are $0.99 for four cups and then I add some cans.
