Has anyone ever done the gas stations for shopnchek. Are they worth the 12.00 that they pay.

Shop n Chek gas stations I have done are a nightmare if there are a lot of no responses to their questions. They have a nightmare of a system for linking the pictures to the questions they are for. If it is a shop that is clean and does well in getting all yes responses the linking and picture thing is no big deal. Other companies I do this for let me put shop number on my pics and let me name them according to what the pic is and what Question it pertains to which is a lot easier. One for shop n chek had so many no answers and I had to take so many pictures that it was easier to chunk it and not get paid than get the headache linking pics. But the last one was a nice shop so the pics were simple. Here's hoping the next two like them are nice shops also.

I agree! The revealing part was no biggie...the letter I gave them said if they did not cooperate, their fuel supplier would be contacted...LOL

The one I did yesterday was a total nightmare. Lots of NO answers meant I had over 25 pictures. They all had to be named with the assignment id and then a description of what it was. SHEESH!! Took me two hours to do the daggone report! Not to mention the hour on site. Live and learn...won't be doing any more of those.

MY big thing with them (besides the things named above) is that they make them LOOK like the fee is $12, but you have to spend at least $5 of that (not reimbursed) for fuel PLUS make a "small" purchase (also not reimbursed) in the convenience store. So, ACTUALLY, this is a less than $7 shop...and requires photos (at least 2) plus the receipt and, then, MORE PHOTOS of anything that prompted a "no" answer...for LESS than $7 and up to 2 hours (see above post) of report work! I don't think so!

Maybe some companies require you to purchase fuel, but shopnchek does not and they reimburse you for up to 2.00 that you spend. I just did 3 stations for them and I have never had to take more then 7 or 8 pics.

Then you must of gotten Conoco Phillips which were actually well taken care of. I have had to do one with so many pics for no responses that it took me forever with their system to link the pics. So 7 or 8 pics is for a perfect shop. Yes they reimburse up to $2. They are time consuming and you never know how many pics you'll have to take til you get there you can't go by the address. I have done a couple since that first one I chunked for the linking giving me nightmares and it was a lil easier with better kept stores.
Other companies pay almost this much and reimburse at least a gallon of gas and a snack or coke inside.

Looks like the same old problems. Long drives, long complicated shops, and less than minimum pay. Just not worth the hassle to me.

I only do gas station shops for GFK........no photos and very easy!!

Yep...you have to be careful with them read the instructions CLOSELY, because they can be quite different depending on who you're doing and WHO you're doing it for.

Well I did a gas station for them. Took the pics and TRIED to match them to the question. The shop was a half hour, and the paperwork was 2 hours. And they still told me it was wrong. I finally said enough and chalked it up to experience. I did recieve a check from them, but this was never worth the $12 that it paid.
