The problem with email (and posting in forums) is that it is often misconstrued. The original poster should have called and left a message or used the contact link on the job after the email. Follow up to an important email is always a good idea since you don't always know if and when it was read.
As for the other inflammatory comments posted here ...
Sometimes it is best to hold you comments to yourself for a few hours to see if they are warranted.
