I need a Zone 5 buddy (or two). No clue what I'll actually put in the package (might be an unopened package of expired pretzels lol). Any suggestions?

More specifically, I guess, I need someone 600-1000 miles from California.

You need to tell everyone what your zip code is. Then anyone interested can go to this site [postcalc.usps.gov] and see what zone they are from you.
I'm hopeful I've found one, but I'm waiting to hear back. I wanted to say, though, that the three digit check does not seem accurate. I just inputted several and what the result was in the three digit search zone was not what the actual five digit zip code turned out to be. I have no idea why, but that's what I discovered. Just for trivia's sake, most of the folks who have posted here are codes 7 and 8 to me. There's a couple of 6s, and just one 5.
California is huge. 92093 (La Jolla) is 751 miles from Eureka, CA (95501) they are in Zone 5 from each other. All you need to know is first three digits of each zip code. Go here and it is easy: [postcalc.usps.gov] But you really need to know both zip codes.

That being said, I am in 193xx and I need one or more people in Zone 5

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
I need someone whose zip code begins with 577, 590-599, 798-816, 820-828, 835, 838, 850-853, 859-860, 863, 865, 870-871, 873-880, 883-885, 980-982, or 990-994. Anyone?
I'm in 37130 (Nashville area). If that works for anyone I'm more than willing to be a buddy. I have done three of the regular scenarios for the new MSC but haven't seen any C's yet..... Let me know
I've got a few hazmats to do this week that I assume won't ship but just in case need a place to send them... I'm in 90815 but am shipping from a few different places. I'm looking for someone in 590—593, 597—599,679,739, 790—794,797—816,820---828, 833,835—838,865,870—871,873—885, 970—974,77—986,988---994

I just send the package to myself so I can re-use the box and the item inside. I put my parents address for the return address, but it could be anybody's since the package always arrives without issue and I don't put anything valuable inside. The only way this wouldn't work was if I was trying to do a shop at my town's post office, which has never been on the list of available shops for me anyway.
I'm 465...looks like I may be either too close or too far for anyone who's been here today looking for a buddy.

But if this area works for you, please let me know!
JulieC: How does that work? Do you drive several hundred miles out of your way to mail yourself back a package so that it fits in the zone requirements? jw.

some of the USPS assignments just call for a pkg to be mailed to a "different zip code" not a "different zone" which translates (for me) an outlay of $5.95 (which is reimbursed along with the fee).
