My business model doesn't exactly work like that.

In New Year's Resolution season, I got several at $18 and $20, and one at $25. Then all the resolvers fell off the wagon again and they're mostly base price.
I managed to get one at $20 and one at $35 last month at the last minute in bad neighborhoods. I guess I lived dangerously a little.

I'm not sure why that is confusing?

They are back in my area: greater Philadelphia. They rarely get bonused beyond 15.00 and they start at 10.00.
Was there, or was there not, an actual hiatus between monthly McDonald's shops?

Oh no, I hope they don't end! McDonald's is a big chunk of my income (I'm a fast food junkie). They're posted through November and into December in my area. I noticed they seemed a little sparse last month, but they're back here now. Aww, I will be so bummed if the McDonald's shops go away...I also haven't done a USPS shop since they moved companies. They seem to be more popular in my area now, and two locations that I shopped regularly don't seem to be posted anymore with the new company. My income has been pretty low last month and this month. sad smiley Stay with us McDonald's! I need my free lunches!

After not seeing any in my town all month, I got a call last night for a $75 shop about 45 min away. I hope they aren't gone for good! smiling smiley

Me too Liz. I just did one for 70.00. Hard to say no to that! And before someone chimes in about how bad the food is, no I don't eat it, I just take the obligatory tastes most of the time and give the rest away or feed the birds with it!
Also as an added bonus since I'm breastfeeding right now I'm losing weight while eating french fries! Haha!
Lucky you guys who are able to grab such high bonuses for these shops. In my state, the top off I typically can grab is $20-25. Once upon a time, they wanted me to drive in the middle of nowhere for $50, but the drive was about a 120 round trip with no other towns along the way, making the trip not really justifiable, even if it could set me up for higher bonuses for that location in the future.

That's awesome! I never would have linked it to New Year's Resolutioners, but that makes sense. "I just can't quit you, Golden Arches Mystery Shops!" ha ha ha ha ha!

Shopper in California's Bay Area
@bgriffen, So sorry to hear this as the Bonus Babies were lucrative and worthwhile. I may have missed your original post regarding the demise of the program. This will be huge for many shoppers, not to mention the company responsible for getting the job done! I guess the only constant is c.h.a.n.g.e..
I must shop them too difficulty or too easy as I only see them once they have had the pay rate raised, or when a scheduler calls me. I'm guessing I'm too difficult. I don't give them the white glove either. I just end up grabbing the ghetto locations as they pay more and something always hits the fan.
I've been called to get two Mcdonald's shops so far. The bonuses weren't as good as my first month doing them, but still worth it to me.

Still many around here, but only at $10.

Ditto, and I haven't gotten any calls or Samantha offers yet either. Funny how much these vary by area. I've been doing some really large routes (for other companies, not this one) the last several days and have been checking this MSC's job board in the areas where I'm headed just in case they have randomly highly bonused ones. In some areas, these are still at base rate, while others are at $12. They're still at $10 within at least a couple hundred miles of my home, though. Envious of the ones getting $70-75!! That's great though! I'd be happy if I got several for at least $35 like I did last month.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley

I read these bonus amounts and I am surprised, but I think that where I am folks are very willing to take the regular amount so bonuses are not very high. I do ask though every time I'm called.
Noteworthy that recent issues, which have previously raised eyebrows - no receipts, incorrect orders/receipts, timing variances, have sailed through, no questions asked. The bonuses I have been offered this end of month, compared to the past, have been lackluster. Enough so that I have ignored them.
I have been watching these shops because they are getting bonuses in my area but hardly $75. It would not be so bad if you did not have to make a drive thru and indoor purchase. The bonus is $12 right now and where I live people might take it for that much.
They went as high as $10 in my area before they all were taken. I took zero of course. LOL. Not doing them for $10.
I think they're restaurants are really gonna go downhill if they stop the shopping. I've been doing them for almost 8 yrs and hundreds of times. I viewed it as preventative cause they knew we were out there watching. I hope they come back early next year.
Employee turnover is very high. I have needed to click other as reason for delay and write in "Cashier Training" as they can't keep employees even in this terrible job market.
This has been an important source of work for a long time, in some areas at mostly base pay and in some other areas offering substantial bonuses. No matter what we think of the food or the operation, it's a leader. If they drop their program without serious repercussions (and I don't expect any) I would look for other similar businesses to consider dropping their shopping programs. It doesn't take a genius to assess and control from within the company. Example: The QT convenience store chain in the south -- a class act to compare with any.

I have been told that the Golden Arches are discontinuing their MS program at the end of 2015.

They should consider a brand-new questionnaire and guidelines if they start it up again. The company has issues with their food, not so much the timing of how fast it is delivered.
More than one of us was told that weeks ago yet there are still people here who don't believe it's happening.

I have heard rumblings of a change from schedulers.

Honestly, after all these years, I do not see that mystery shopping has resulted in any measurable, positive difference in timings - which is what McDs is all about. Not accuracy, quality or taste.
You just haven't talked to the right one. I talked to one the day they laid off almost 40 schedulers because they lost the contract. I got quite an earful.
