Just started. The schedulers seem nice. then threatening, when you complete the shop review, you hear nothing. Is this normal, and do they jyst not pay?

Can't figure out some schedulers. Seem so nice. then you do the last minute shop for next to nothing, get it done, and never hear a word if it's accepted and I will be paid. Does that happen, and how can I avoid this problem?

You can't. They're people, good and bad. Best you can do is keep a log of which schedulers remember you, are pleasant, responsive, etc. and those who aren't. Mine is broken down into four levels, and I shop accordingly.

Look through the Kudos section here. Those are the schedulers that you want to start with.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
Usually no news is good news. Unless there is a problem with the shop, you will not get further communication. Sometimes you can check the site to see the status of the report.
I never expect to hear from a scheduler once my report has been submitted. If there is a problem with your report, an editor would contact you not a scheduler. Unless of course the scheduler and the editor are the same person.
Ronesia you should remove your email address from this site, use a fiction name.
To answer your question. Each mystery shopping company has their own schedule. Once you turn in your report, after a day or two, go into your shopper log for each company. Under STATUS the shop should be listed and the shop should state RECEIVED OR COMPLETED. You will not hear from the scheduler and you might not hear from anyone. If the MSC needs more information, they will notify you. Also check to see their payment schedule. I have been shopping for 10 years and have not had any problems getting paid. (One exception, the company doesn't shop anymore.) No need to make this a problem.

Rewritten from a fictional scheduler's perspective:

Can't figure out some MSers. Sound so reliable. "Sure, I'll do it, without fail." Then reschedule it once because their dog was sick. Then ask to reschedule it a second time because they had an "emergency". Then flake out the third time. And if you ask other MSers if they are absolutely certain they will do it "or else", they get all offended. And oh, by the way, I didn't get any pay for all of the time I spent trying to schedule the first MSer that rescheduled 3 times because I only get paid once - and that is AFTER the shop is accepted. And those e-mails....I get THOUSANDS of e-mails from MSers for my 300 assignments. "Can I do it Thursday next week?" "Can I bring someone?" "If I'm 41, can I still do it even though the age limit says 40?" "I can't find this address." "If you bonus me $50 I'll do it." "I don't understand what I"m supposed to do." Do they want me to spend 30 hours a day just replying to say "no" and earn $2.50/hr?

Sometimes it truly does help to change your perspective on things...
