I think I read this somwhere in yhe guidelines but I can't find it anymore... but does anyone know if you have to stay for 15 minutes after getting the sandwhich or is it 15 minutes total in the restaurant? Thanks!

The guideline says 15 minutes after being served. I know it says somewhere else 15 minutes total. The one time I spent less than 15 after being served, I was warned. I pointed out the conflict in instructions, they thanked me and made sure I understood that the guidelines take precedence. At least I was paid. YMMV

I'm not sure one could do all of the observations, including tasting your meal and checking the rest room, in 15 minutes total. Especially if your burger (if you order one) takes 7 to 8 minutes or so to cook.

The 15 min wait after getting your sandwich is one of the main reasons I avoid these shops. By the time I've stood around for 15+ min. waiting for my food, I've really done all the observing I need to do except the bathroom. Then I've got to sit another 15 min with a burger I don't really want and fries I shouldn't eat.

Wow--it takes you that long to get your food? I've shopped three or four Five Guys' locations (admittedly not an abundance, but most of the ones near me), and the longest I've had to wait is just under 10 minutes.... If I had to wait that long, I'd never do one unless it was bonused. As it is, I've pretty much stopped doing them unless a nice bonus is offered!

The 15 minutes wait is actually after the order is received but some Guidelines are not too specific, The wait for me had always been between 5 to 7 minutes. I have been accepting bonus only and since I suspect they do know, my wait time has always been brief. Once, it was less than 5 minutes and they gave me burnt bacon pieces. But they never did it again.

Fast service? They must recognize you. That's what I feel like when I get an 8 minute burger

My average wait is 7 minutes. If I go during off peak hours, 8 minutes tends to be the full turn around time. At a busy location, can be as little as 5 but rarely over 8. I may have reported a 11 minute wait once, during a very busy lunch with lots of call-in/web orders going on at the time.

The 15 minutes after is for dining room observations. They assume we are focused on the kitchen and cashier area, which they stress about, while waiting for the order. It is reasonable to assume we would miss required observations if trying to watch everything everywhere in just 15 minutes.

sure if you only take a bite of the food, hit the bathroom, and get out the door, you would be done in 10-12 minutes most of the time even with waiting for the food.

A quick tool to use for PDF's and Word documents. CTRL + F (for Windows) / Command + F (for Mac) allows you to search for text throughout the document. By searching 'minutes,' in the Five Guys guideline, it should help lead you to your answer.

That would make these shops bearable. The jobs around here are almost never bonused and disappear as soon as they are listed. I say almost because I got a phone call a few days ago asking if I'd do one and I negotiated a few extra $ but even getting that was like pulling teeth.
