Has a scheduler ever lied to you?

So I responded to an email alert about a shop and I said I would so it for $85. The original shop offer was $15. The scheduler said "This shop DOES NOT need filling. It has already been filled. Thanks" However, I keep getting email alerts for the same shop 2 days in a row. I emailed the scheduler why she lied to me and guess what? no response.

This is the first time in 1 year of mystery shopping that I've been lied to.

Anyone else been lied to from a scheduler?

I think I wouldn't count this a "lie." The scheduler was probably looking for a way to say no that was not rude or hostile. If a shopper asked for $85 for a $15 shop, the scheduler was probably thinking "Hell, no, in a pig's eye." Kudos to the scheduler for just responding "No, already filled." Why would it matter to you whether the shop is filled or not? What matters is that the scheduler is not going to pay you $85. Seeing it posted again for $15 means you can take it for $15 or make him a different offer.

Has your girlfriend ever asked you "Do you like my hair?" or "Does this dress make me look fat?" If you hate her hair, there's not a point in saying so, is there? Or if you think the dress makes her look fat, would you say so? Those are "lies," too.

I would have taken this to mean that they did not need to fill the shop for the $85 fee. They did not say that the shop had been scheduled, only that they did not need to schedule you.

I don't think you were lied to. I think you were just turned down.
No need to be argumentative. You either get assigned the job or you don't. It really is that simple. Please be mindful that the schedulers are VERY busy. They sincerely do not have time to get into email conversation exchanges. Their job is to get the jobs assigned to the most reliable and reputable shoppers at the posted rates. Once a mystery shopper is established and built a good reputation for themselves, the question can be asked if they are willing and able to make any adjustments for travel. I usually focus on the extra cost for gas plus tolls when the distance is farther than I would normally drive. The mileage records are used for tax returns as you know. Also, it would not hurt to read over again the shoer agreement you signed with that company.
