I deposit my little checks, under $100, into a local credit union once every two months or so. It's a military based CU and it's a catastrophic use only account for me or people I know. I usually walk in but decided to go through the drive through. The teller asked me if I had received checks from these companies before. She said there has recently been a rash of fake mystery shopping checks posted at their bank. I was floored. I really thought no one falls for this. I mean, how could anyone possibly? They are placing them on hold for 10 days. Weird.
I'm super RICH, according to Allison's email.
