the Fujitsu scanner is useful for sooo many other items...other home receipts, bills, medical, finances, brochures, pictures, business cards (where it automatically picks up the fields into your contact list), and so much more than just mystery shopping paperwork. Just sayin' I prefer good tools over cable TV ($50+/month) and expensive ($50+/month) wireless accounts (I use Republic Wireless and WiFi <$13/month). Minimizing monthly bills, increasing savings, and good tools allowed me to retire early.
We all have our needs, so good for you for finding a tool that's worth it for you.
Personally, my smartphone to scan quick things (including business cards!) suffices with the need of a dedicated scanner. I have a much cheaper flatbed scanner with an auto feed if I need to obtain a much clearer and accurate scan. Or I can just bring what I need to my office and use their scanners, when absolutely needed.
Lol not sure what our finances have to do anything, but I'm far from retiring anyways and do understand your views for minimizing monthly bills. I'm the same way; minimize monthly expenses where I can, but in my situation, I need to satisfy the multiple tenant living in my house.
