Need Advice, Messed Up A Phone Shop

I messed up on this shop from the beginning. I scheduled the wrong date; I chose the same date when I intended the next day. The call had to be done by 6 pm and it was 5:35. So I watched the video and read through the guidelines and scenario as quickly as I can. And this was my first time to do this particular shop so I had no previous knowledge to go by.

So anyway, I made the call at around 5:50, then the call disconnected. I made the 2nd call and completely forgot to dial the *## before calling the toll free number. I did not realize until I completed the call, and it was too late to call again because it was past 6 pm.

The call was still recorded, and it is on the report to listen to. I have not submitted the report because I needed to wait for a follow-up.

I emailed the scheduler and explained (and apologized) what happened. I asked if it will be a problem, I can re-do the call using a different phone number. That was 2 days ago but no response yet. I have to submit the report tomorrow... Oh well, I guess I'll submit it as is and hope for the best.

I was just hoping if anyone has any advise...

I'm not clear as to whether you actually completed the call as per the guidelines and it just happened to be past 6pm, or whether what is recorded are your attempts to reach someone? If it is that you actually spoke with someone and completed the call - then I would fill out the report and notify your scheduler.

Similar has happened to me recently where I forgot about the shop call and had a day booked with shops on the road. When I got back home it was 5:30 PM, and in a panic I saw I forgot to make the call. Luckily it was for a bank, and even more luckily it was a Friday and so they were still open. I filled out and completed the shop, and it went just fine.
Yes, I completed the call per the guidelines and scenario, except I didn't dial the *## before the toll free number. It connected me to an associate but I don't know if the *## was for something special like to connect to a specific area or just so the call will be recorded.

I just submitted my report and hoping for the best.
I wonder if it is some sort of way to block the phone number from showing, similar to *67? I googled it and nothing came up. If the call was recorded and is on the report, it sounds like you are going to be okay. If you had the recording and were able to do everything else on the shop you were supposed to do, it seems like it's a usable report and you will be paid. Let us know if you find out what the *## is all about, I am curious.
