Chipotle shops now have a reduced fee of $21 sad smiley

It went from $27 to $25 to $21 in the last year or so. You can now order a single taco and a child's size bag of chips, and can use coupons. I'm really bummed.

I think it's kind of tacky for them to announce it via Facebook instead of email.

Thank you for sharing that. I just completed the training at the end of last week and have not completely familiarized myself with their site and their way of doing things. Wish they had mentioned that at the training.
I know that now you can order a kid's chip and 1 taco, but to me that's like a snack. In the past 1.5 years the pay went down $6. I wish they would shorten the report even more, like get rid of the phone portion, which is worthless IMO.
I don't do Chipotle shops, or eat there. But, I'm curious. $21 seems like fair compensation compared to many other casual food shops. What am I missing? Is the report hell?

Okay, so where does every one get coupons from? I only saw coupons during the food scares. If there is a continual source somewhere and we can use them that would help offset the fee reduction. But I am bummed since I am interested in buying the whole meal rather than doing this big job for less pay overall and all that work for one taco. The smaller bag of chips will help if they are much less expensive.
For those asking their report is not terrible but a whole lot more work than the other fast foods where there is a very small fee. Narratives are included although scaled down from the old days when they paid more.
I know it's a pay decrease, but $21 is still a good price, especially when we can order a smaller bag of chips. I still have my chips left from Saturday's shop.

I also like the option of being able to order one taco. One bowl lasts me for three days. I haven't gotten tacos because they get mushy over a few days.

The only coupons I see are occasional promotions. Like right now you can play an online game where you whack ingredients contained in guacamole. You get a free chip and guac with your next purchase. Sometimes Chipotle may give out a coupon for a free bow//burrito if they mess up your order. This has never happened to me. For me, this lower fee will definitely affect how many shops I apply for. Some of the shops are not near me, and it's not worth it for me to order one taco and a kid sized chip.

It wasn't when this post was originally created: it was only on Facebook then, but has since been added to the MSC's site.

Not all the info is on the website. I sent the website blurb to my scheduler and she is planning to add the rest of the info tonight...the website does not mention kids chips or coupons.
That's a big cut in pay ... thanks for the OP. I don't do Facebook so until I got my February assignments, I would not have known about this. I did see that the Chipotle parent company stocks were upped to a "hold" recently from "sell." Maybe that's how the client will recoup some of its losses. I know that for some the pay cut doesn't seem like a big deal, but it did help offset other shops that were fun but didn't pay much. The tacos are a very poor value unless someone is not hungry.

This is disappointing news. I was already thinking about doing less work for them next month. I was doing 8 shops a month for the past few months. Looks like it's time to move on.
It is a big paycut. I will continue to get the bowls as I have seen the kids taco meal. Snack!

I can't stand the chips. Never liked them and never will. I don't think it's a big difference in price for the kids size bag. After I eat some in order to fill out the report, into the garbage they go. No one in my family likes them.
Is the meal reimbursed in addition to the $21, or is the $21 a flat fee meant to serve as payment for the meal and your time?
It's $21 flat fee.

I'm okay with just getting a taco and kids chips. My problem is with spend in 30 minutes in the location for $21. If they are cutting the pay they should shorten the time you have to stay in the restaurant.
This is the sound of a MSC spiraling downwards. Yesh. Chipotle must be squeezing the daylights out of them.
30 minutes is an awfully long time to eat one taco and a kids chips. I could play around on my phone, but they don't have free wi-fi. Time to decrease my shops with them.
If they can keep flying around the country for training with hotel and car rental expenses they could afford to at least give us $23.
It's funny, on the msc Facebook page no one's really complaining. They're all rainbows & butterfies & "Great! Now I can practice portion control by eating only one taco! Thanks!"

Chipotle share prices went up nearly 2.5% Tuesday. Shareholders are happy.

It is what it is. I do have flexibility to make the meals I want now. Rice, beans, chorizo and some cooked eggs I'll bring along with me to eat with the meal will be something I can try out finally.

Very infrequently shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado these days.
Dare, I don't think negative posts of any type are allowed on their Facebook page.

When you post here, you are posting anonymously. When posting on the company's Facebook, they know who is posting. Have you posted on their Facebook page that you are bummed? People are usually far more outspoken when they post anonymously than when they post under their own name.

Having said that, I am disappointed by the lower fee but it's not a deal-breaker for me. And, I'm happy that I can now order a single taco if I choose to. I've learned that portion control is very difficult when a customer builds his own single taco. Usually, by the time I get through adding everything to the single taco, it is about half the size of a bowl. Their new report has gotten even shorter over the past couple months. I'm not too unhappy with the trade-off.
The net pay is still higher than other FF shops. The point of any business is to make a profit, Chipotle and us included. Let's see what the February kq is. January's was problematic for me from a timing standpoint.

ROFL, no I haven't posted about it. There's no point in it. The msc will not change their minds. I understand their reasoning, but that doesn't mean that I have to like it.

That's probably why all the posts on their Facebook have been positive.
I want one of your tacos.

Why was the KQ problematic?
