Lower Reimbursement

North Fork Research has a client that is a popular discount shoe store. The reimbursement was $20 with a $10 fee, and you had to buy a pair of shoes. Between the clearance aisle, and a RMN coupon, I could get a nice pair of shoes fully covered by the reimbursement. If not, I just treated it like a $20 coupon.

I looked at the shop today, and the reimbursement is now $5. And it's already scheduled.

The reimbursed is now $5 and the shoe price has tripled. Now do you really need that pair of shoesconfused smiley
Always!!!!

I asked the MSC about this, and they said that a shoe purchase is no longer required. Nothing in the store is under $5 (shoestrings and socks come in packs), so you either buy crap that you don't need for partial reimbursement, or shoes that you really want for a $5 coupon.

I managed to find a single pair of boring gray shoe strings for under $5. I wasn't super thrilled about them, but I grabbed a pair after browsing a while. I picked the shop up as a filler location and had no idea what to expect. I scoured to find those laces, though. They were beside the checkout and I had to ask if they sold individuals :/

My Mom and I went to a competitor store over the summer. My Mom is the Ultimate Shopper. She found a pair of Clarke sandals for me for under $5, including the app discount.

I wore those things until snow hit the ground.

Sounds like one of those shops that takes 15 minutes to perform and 30 searching for an item within the reimbursement. SMH.

I saw that last time they posted. What a bummer! I used to consider a $20 coupon a treat. Someone else can have them now. Not interested. I'll pay full price for my shoes and enjoy them without the narrative and headache.
Isn't it a dead giveaway that, after showing interest in shoes/sneakers, there is little alternative but to purchase a pair of laces to stay within the reimbursement limit? This is one of those scenarios that--in my opinion--fairly screams "SHOPPER!"
Exactly, Lisa! The shop isn't worth doing. The coupons and discounts I get from Retail Me Not are more than the $5 reimbursement, and I don't have to write a report. And, I get the shoes that I really want.

Would you believe the shop was snatched up already?

Nothing in the store is less than $5. So you either go over the reimbursement for a pack of socks or shoelaces, or have a $5 coupon for a pair of shoes.

I was promised a gift card as part of my fee for doing one of these shops. I was paid for the shop except for the gift card, and I've been getting the runaround for weeks now. My scheduler keeps claiming that the gift card was sent to me, it was an egift card, check my spam folder, etc. Last week, she claimed she was going to send me the link again and it has been radio silence since.

None of this scheduler's email has ever ended up in my spam folder, and I see her post other shops frequently.

I am so disgusted that I am ready to quit this MSC. It is not just the broken promise. It's the discourtesy and waste of my time.
