THAT was an interesting voice mail!

Vet been doing a lot of phone shops lately. Today I got an interesting follow up voice mail from someone in the front office of one of them. She said she understood I had called the other day and was just following up to see if I had any additional questions. The woman started the message with "Hi, Mrs. Shopper"--which I GUARANTEE was not the name I gave them. Coincidence ?

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what I could have said in the original call that could possibly give me away. The scheduler said she'd listen to the recorded call and let me know.

You didn't save the recording or can't find anything to have given you away? That really is an odd one.

Recording was done through MSC website, and isn't available to me after shop is submitted. I told the marketing person I lived in a nearby town...wonder if I pronounced it wrong (kind of like someone from outside our area would do with "Gravois".

That would be a dead giveaway to mispronounce the town or city. It is so obvious when a new meteorologist or newscaster comes to town. They invariably screw up Gravois and Des Peres among others. Honestly, I'm not sure we should be laughing since the what locals have done to the French names over the years is atrocioussmiling smiley

Having all zeros show up on CID might be a dead giveaway.

In the age of cell phones, do area codes matter any more? All my children have kept their original (Missouri) phone numbers. One still lives in the state, lives in California, and the third in Texas.

It could be your caller ID. Did you remember to block your number when making calls?
