If the shop is bonused it usually is hard to fill so there are not other shoppers that you are being unfair to.

Someone that keeps starting new threads saying the same thing, nothing against you, but the questions you continue to ask make no sense to me....and a waste of time.

Then stop wasting your time reading the threads! I find Shop's questions to be refreshing; some of us actually BENEFIT from reading the contributions by other posters. While I don't always understand Shop's perspective, at least it's unique. I find the posts to be a positive contribution to the forum. You, on the other hand, sling insults. What do you contribute that's positive?
There are many forums, such as this one, that are for non-thinking persons at times; this one just became more so by way of negative, controlling, bashing, self-proclaimed 'elites' getting the lollipop. Teetering on the line of asking for too much vs. asking for too little has been asked by each and every one of us at one time or another; I've seen them, even by the old-timers and so has everyone else.
Of the 5 threads on the first page with multiple pages of posts 3 of them were started by shoptastic. Like him/her or not. Ignore the threads if you want. But it seems a lot of people like the threads. Personally i don't begrudge someone having a discussion I'm not interested in. If I'm not interested I just don't read the thread.

Like bgriffin says, shoptastic starts a lot of threads. She posts a massive number of long posts because her questions seem like fun questions to her. Many forum members don't find them fun and have let her know that. She first promised to stop posting so many because she said she did not want to monopolize the forum. Then she said she planned to leave the forum but why would she when she is having so much fun and getting so much attention? I recognize that shoptastic is enjoying herself and there are some who enjoy her posts. I have toggled her. No more problem. I no longer see her posts. I do, however, still have to read them when someone quotes her, and I have to see the commentary on her posts. I do not enjoy her posts, but, having TOGGLED, I don't have to read the posts and I can ignore the commentary.
My advice is to TOGGLE if you are unable to ignore. Shoptastic can keep enjoying herself and the attention. Those who enjoy the posts can read and comment. Anyone who doesn't want to read them can toggle. What's the problem?

You are right Roflwofl....I'm glad we're on the same page, yes, we have the choice of toggling, which I really don't like to do as it would seem everyone at some time has something knowledgeable to say given a chance.
The other choice is to leave the forum, as I notice many have (Mary and a couple more intelligent posters who added to the forum).. I will decide, i'm not on here for continual nonsense,so many treads started seem a bit aggressive, a bit of humor inflected would help, but, if the majority likes it, so be it......can't fight city hall.....

If you look at the threads shoptastic has started, they do have a lot of posts but it does not appear that people enjoy the questions. Reading the posts, if you subtracted out all posts that negatively commented, asked that she stop, or dissed the question, and removed those posts that were simply arguments between other posters that had nothing to do with her fun questions, there would be few responses. Those who do not like her posts seem to be a majority, and if those who do not like the fun questions ignore them and stop posting, it appears there would be little discussion and the threads would simply sink to the bottom of the list.
I'm sure I've said it in response to many posts here, that NOW instead of dealing with the original question we have to deal with people's arguments against the question being posed at all and people's arguments against the person as a whole and people's arguments that don't have a thing to do with the subject.

i agree she likes attention. too bad it has to be this forum. i think other forums would better suit her needs & neediness. why announce that you won't post so much then apologize when she keeps posting so much that people complain. why announce leaving the forum only to start more threads & post fun food questions. some trolls just seek attention. not all trolls are really bad. some trolls are just annoying. many there should be a trolls anonymous group or something like a 12 step program.@roflwofl wrote:

i find this debate more interesting than op's questions. many threads take a turn in different dirextion. not always a bad thing.
