The MSC is known to drop access to the client if their system sees any bounced emails. I recommended calling or emailing the help desk.

Haven't seen any new postings in my area. I still have one outstanding for a location in my town to complete. Usually I see the other locations within a week or two of completing. I do see one for a far off location from me, in my extended search, but it ends 4/30 and no dates available in May. So maybe this client is done
I see a ton in my area, but I haven't accepted one in a while.

I don't like the reports (a bit tedious and long, imo). They are my least favorite fast food report to do and I'd rather eat elsewhere with food I like even less just to have an easier report. smiling smiley

Really, done? I see shops well into the month of May. I changed area codes and see them all across the country.

Speaking of 5 Guys, would anyone think asking for a $10 fee + meal reimbursement would be reasonable?
you can probably get more if they really need it done.

I've got assigned after making a $45 offer for the shop fee on a location that had been outstanding for about a month.

The ones here don't stay on the boards long, so I don't have that luxury. But I did get a call recently asking me to do one and that's never happened before. Maybe it's a slow month for the mystery shopping company. That's good to know they can get as high as $45! Who knew?! grinning smiley

I'm going to be more modest with my offer when I call them back. I'd be happy with just $25. We shall see . . . tongue sticking out smiley
I got a phone call about a nicely bonuses one this morning. Too bad I was out of town.

I regularly do the Five Guys one town over for $15.00. They won't go higher, but they also know I won't do it for less.
I got to the bottom of it and it turns out I have a temporary ban due to rating the restaurant low on my reports consecutively. The last two times the restaurant made some pretty substantial errors on my order (at two different locations) so naturally I rated them poorly. It turns out when the client asks for your opinion and rating on the reports, they don't truly want your actual opinion. I am surprised to say the least.
What were the errors? It may be subjective opinion as to whether the error is substantial.

Yes, but try $25...
If you want $25 ask for $30 to give them room to negotiate. BTW, reasonable is what you need to make the endeavor profitable whether it is $10 or $75 or $1,000 an hour.

In my experience unless you are on the phone with one of the "schedulers" they do not negotiate. They either approve a request and you get the confirmation email or the deny your request and you hear nothing.

This has been a few years ago, but I initiated a call to the Help Desk to bundle some shops with a bonus.

Mod note: Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.

I can attest to being told the reason for a temporary ban at one point. I was able to get it overturned which would not have happened if I didn't know the reason.

That said, Tova may have misspoken or over simplified the reason. Sometimes clients want their stores graded on the loosest of curves. Maybe they felt she was being overly critical.

That's horrible! The store screws up and the shopper gets banned.

I had a shop (not this MSC or client) reject a report for all of my negative objective comments.

They really didn't want my opinion.

They are up in my area. I quit doing them because we only get offered $5 plus meal reimbursement which does not cover the smallest meal available. Only by change, but it is the point. I had heard all these great reviews about their burgers so had to give them a try but I am good now. They ask for a lot of reporting for that five bucks, too.
